Blake Lively’s Legal Battle Takes Shocking Turn as Journalist Dragged Into Drama with Justin Baldoni
Entertainment journalist Kjersti Flaa disclosed that she has taken a greater role than before in the ongoing legal dispute between Blake Lively and her former co-star from “It Ends With Us,” Justin Baldoni.
In a fresh YouTube video posted on Sunday, Flaa, who is 52 years old, asserts that she received a subpoena related to Lively’s team.
Flaa learned about it when he received an email from one of his fans, who claimed to have been contacted and informed: ‘Hi, I thought you should know that you were brought up in the subpoenas which Blake is making other parties of Wayfarer comply with. I suspect you may be called as a witness for this situation.’
At the moment, we haven’t received a response from either Lively or Baldoni’s representatives after reaching out to them on DailyMail.com.
Flaa continued by expressing gratitude for the email, stating that she hadn’t realized she was brought up in the court document.
At that point, Flaa mentioned she hadn’t gotten around to thoroughly reviewing Lively’s most recent submission, which was made on Friday.
‘So I didn’t even know that I was in there,’ she explained.
Later on, Flaa made a point to speak directly with Lively’s legal team, asserting that there had been no contact whatsoever between her, the representatives from Wayfarer, or herself, nor between her and the legal counsel of Baldoni.
‘Good luck with this fishing expedition because you’re not going to find anything,’ she said.
Flaa went on to forcefully present the subpoena, arguing that it demonstrates the extent to which they are scrambling to uncover any link between her and the Wayfarer group as their last resort.
Blake Lively’s lawyers understand that if they manage to establish a link between me and Tera Hanks from Wayfarer Studios, they could potentially demonstrate a smear campaign, but unfortunately, they won’t find any such evidence. She stated this confidently.
Flaa jokingly added: “I’m apologetic towards Blake Lively’s legal team, as they’re putting in an immense effort, and it seems the fees they charge are high, since what they’re searching for appears non-existent.
Last year, Flaa gained widespread attention following the posting of a video on his YouTube channel, entitled “The Interview with Blake Lively That Made Me Consider Leaving My Job.” The video, originally from 2016, was deemed ‘awkward’ or ‘uncomfortable’ by many viewers.

In a recent gathering, I found myself in an unexpectedly playful exchange when I jokingly teased my friend Kjersti about her “bump” during our celebration for another expectant mother, Blake. It wasn’t intentional banter, but rather a light-hearted moment that caught everyone off guard.
Or, you could say:
I made an unplanned, good-natured jest at Kjersti’s belly during our gathering to celebrate Blake’s upcoming baby. The remark was spontaneous and not meant to cause any awkwardness, but it certainly did surprise everyone present!
Initially, the event slipped into a state of semi-forgottenness, but regained attention this past August when an entertainment journalist unexpectedly shared it on social media platforms, eight years later.
At that point, Flaa shared with DailyMail.com that she published the video as a means to hold accountable those who misbehave in Hollywood, and indeed, anywhere else.
Last December, Baldoni was taken to court by Lively due to allegations of sexual harassment during the film’s production. In her lawsuit, the former Gossip Girl actress claimed that Baldoni had sexually harassed her in various ways – including making derogatory comments about her body – and organized a malicious campaign to tarnish her reputation.
In response to the lawsuit, Baldoni and his representatives contend that Lively distorted the true meaning of text messages exchanged between them and deceived the public regarding the nature of their communication during the production of the film.
In her court case, Lively listed several associates of Baldoni, such as his firm Wayfarer Studios, the CEO and primary investor of the studio, and public relations staff members Melissa Nathan and Jennifer Abel.

In her conversation with The New York Times, Lively expressed her hope that her legal action would lift the veil on these underhanded, harmful tactics used to retaliate against individuals who expose misconduct, and in doing so, safeguard others who might find themselves in similar situations.
Later, Baldoni filed a lawsuit against the newspaper for a claimed defamation of $250 million, stemming from an article published on December 21 entitled “‘We Can Bury Anyone’: Unveiling the Workings of a Hollywood Slander Apparatus.’ However, the newspaper has refuted these accusations.
On January 16, I, as an ardent fan, found myself at the center of a staggering $400 million lawsuit. This time, it wasn’t me bringing charges; instead, Evan and Blake Lively, along with their publicist Leslie Sloane, were the ones filing against me. They’ve accused me of defamation and extortion, but I stand before the court to refute these claims. The trio, as I see it, has orchestrated ‘false allegations of sexual harassment’ against me, an accusation I vehemently deny.
Ever since Lively lodged her complaint, Baldoni has encountered several career repercussions, such as a legal dispute with a previous publicist and getting let go by the agency, WME, which represents both Lively and Reynolds.
According to Variety, Variety reports that WME refutes allegations suggesting that Lively and Reynolds exerted pressure on them to remove Baldoni from their list of clients.
The lawyers from both sides agreed on a strategy to merge the two federal lawsuits they’re handling into a single case going forward.

The movie titled “It Ends with Us,” featuring Jenny Slate, Hasan Minhaj, Brandon Sklenar, and Kevin McKidd, was released on August 9 and received positive feedback from viewers. Based on the 2016 novel by Colleen Hoover, it grossed approximately $148 million in domestic box office collections and a total of $350 million worldwide, as reported by Box Office Mojo.
2005 marked the start of Blake Lively’s vibrant acting career with the movie “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants,” sharing the screen with Amber Tamblyn, Alexis Bledel, and America Ferrera. This role catapulted her into prominence, leading to her starring role on the hit TV series “Gossip Girl” from 2007-2012, where she portrayed the lead character, Serena van der Woodsen.
In addition, she has starred in films like “The Town” (2010), “The Shallows” (2016), “A Simple Favor” (2018) and “The Rhythm Section” (2020).
Before writing “It Ends with Us”, Baldoni was primarily recognized for his role as Rafael Solano on the TV series Jane the Virgin from 2014 to 2019. Additionally, he has directed films such as “Five Feet Apart” in 2019 and “Clouds” in 2020, and authored the book “Man Enough” in 2021, which addressed misunderstandings about modern masculinity.
