Blake Lively’s Kids ‘Traumatized’ by Legal Drama, But She Still Steals the Spotlight at SNL!

Blake Lively asserts that the prolonged court case she’s involved in alongside her This Is Us co-star, Justin Baldoni, is causing distress within her immediate family.

It’s common knowledge that Ryan Reynolds, aged 48, who is well-known for his role as Deadpool, is deeply engaged in the ongoing legal proceedings.

It’s now claimed that the stress the former Gossip Girl star is under is impacting her four children as well: James, aged 10, Inez at 8, Betty who is 5, and Olin, just 2. They reside with her and Ryan in New York City.

In a revised lawsuit filed in a federal court in New York on Tuesday, Blake reportedly claims, as reported by PageSix (which has access to the court document), that her children are apparently suffering from trauma due to the ongoing legal dispute.

Lively asserted that the children have experienced emotional distress severe enough to significantly affect their overall health and happiness, as she strives diligently to alleviate their suffering.

Additionally, Blake shared her concerns about experiencing symptoms such as anxiety, much like stress, while Ryan asserted that he’s encountered both mental and physical issues.

The 37-year-old Hollywood icon has been in a bad mental space too, it was claimed. 

She’s found it difficult to wake up some days due to the intense nature of the drama making headlines. (Alternatively, The intense drama in the news has left her struggling to rise from bed on certain days.)

It appears that the star hasn’t made many public appearances recently, particularly at high-profile fashion events such as the Michael Kors show, which she is often spotted at in her usual haunts outside New York.

According to the legal document, it is stated that Reynolds has been impacted emotionally, physically, and in his career due to the suffering of his wife and kids.

Last week, Blake and Ryan were present at the SNL 50 celebration in New York City. There, they humorously discussed the recent turmoil involving Baldoni.

Back in the winter of 2024, during my legal battle with Baldoni, these particular points were brought to light as part of the case.

Approximately two weeks before that, she lodged a complaint with the California Civil Rights Department, alleging that he had sexually harassed her and was trying to damage her professional standing.

In January, the couple was taken to court by Baldoni, who sought a staggering sum of $400 million. It’s worth noting that Baldoni is also married and a parent, sharing daughter Maiya, aged 9, and son Maxwell, aged 7, with his partner Emily Baldoni.

Following Baldoni’s attorney’s expression of surprise, Reynolds made a jab at the ongoing lawsuit involving Baldoni on the SNL program.

During SNL50: The Anniversary Special over the weekend, it appeared that the actor made a reference to Justin’s ongoing legal dispute with Blake regarding their lawsuit. Now, Justin’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, is expressing doubts about Ryan’s choice to make light of this ongoing legal matter.

Speaking with Billy Bush on a hot mic, Bryan stated: “I can’t recall anyone, honestly, whose spouse has faced sexual harassment or made light of such situations. Frankly, it’s hard for me to imagine someone acting in this way. It took me by surprise.

At the event, Ryan, situated among the spectators, was questioned: “What’s up?” To which the famous actor from Hollywood responded: “I’m doing well. What’s the news?

The joke was widely considered to be a reference to Blake’s ongoing legal dispute with Justin.

Later on, Justin, known for directing the 2024 romantic drama movie, dismissed the accusations. His legal representative termed the claims as entirely untrue.

In simpler terms, Bryan stated to Variety that the allegations are entirely untrue, excessively sensationalized, and deliberately designed to harm and sensationalize an old story in the media.

Baldoni has admitted to feeling ‘exhausted’ after the film came out.

In the Gent’s Talk podcast, recorded in November 2024 but not released until February, Justin remembered reaching out to his closest friend who was also the head of Wayfarer Studios, his production company, to discuss his worries about his mental well-being during the program.

He conveyed: “I let them know that I wasn’t feeling my best. I informed them that I was drained, that I hadn’t taken any time for rest or recuperation, or to mend.

Last year was quite challenging for me – it brought significant financial accomplishments but also a great deal of emotional strain. The experience took its toll not just on me, but also on my loved ones.

Justin mentioned that he was dealing with anxiety, insomnia, and simply wasn’t feeling like himself.
