Blake Lively recently had a fun and unexpected get-together with a former co-star from Gossip Girl, even as she continues to deal with a legal dispute involving the director of the movie ‘It Ends With Us,’ Justin Baldoni.
I was chatting with Margaret Colin, you might recognize her as Blair Waldorf’s mom from ‘Gossip Girl,’ and she told me the sweetest story! She recently had a chance encounter with Blake Lively right on the streets of New York. It’s always lovely to hear about those unexpected run-ins with fellow creatives, isn’t it?
Blake Lively, 38, best known for her role as Serena van der Woodsen from 2007 to 2012, lives in New York City with her husband, Ryan Reynolds, 49, and their four children.
Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this! Colin was telling me about meeting Blake Lively, and it was just… completely out of the blue! She said it was hilarious, though, because, like, Blake Lively is a HUGE star now, and it was so unexpected! I totally get why she found it funny – I’d probably faint if I bumped into her!
She described it as a really warm, enthusiastic hug right there on a New York City street, while the other person was simply enjoying lunch at a cafe.
During the same interview, Colin also gave a brief update on Lively’s condition as she gets ready for her upcoming court case against Baldoni, where she alleges sexual harassment.

‘She’s a happy mom, and she’s doing really good,’ the actress said of Lively.
Colin recently remembered her experience with Lively, following Lively’s significant win in her ongoing sexual harassment lawsuit against Baldoni.
Legal documents obtained by the Daily Mail show a federal judge has ordered the producer of “It Ends With Us,” Jamey Heath, to release all footage of his wife Natasha’s home birth. Actress Blake Lively alleges Heath unexpectedly played the footage for her while they were on set.
Judge Lewis J. Liman issued a ruling on Monday in New York, ordering Heath to submit the birth video within three days, according to a six-page document filed with the court.
This decision follows Lively’s request to punish Heath for not providing video footage she believes is crucial to her legal case.
Documents show Blake Lively claims Jeremy Heath approached her and her assistant on set and then played a clip of a woman completely nude with her legs spread. Lively initially thought the clip was pornography.
Heath later told her the video depicted his wife giving birth, according to Lively’s complaint.
Heath claims he didn’t show Blake Lively any footage of the birth itself, only a video of them with their baby after it was born.
Judge Liman stated in his decision that Lively requested a court order requiring Heath to provide all video recordings of the childbirth, encompassing every version showing the delivery itself.

Heath opposed turning over anything beyond the short post-birth clip he admits showing her.
But the court disagreed with him.
Since Lively says she saw birth footage, but Heath denies it, the judge believes the complete footage might prove Lively is telling the truth and disprove Heath’s version of events.
Judge Liman stated that since the court’s request for footage included more than just the video Heath said he showed Lively, all of the extra footage should have been provided.
The court made it clear that Lively’s request for information is very broad, encompassing any documents or communications that in any way connect to the claims being made – even the actual video of the birth.
Court documents show Lively claims Heath came up to her and her assistant while they were working and started playing a video of a nude woman on a screen.
Lively says she immediately stopped him because she thought he was showing her pornography.
Heath then claimed it was footage of his wife giving birth.
The Wayfarer Parties, Heath, Wayfarer Studios, and Justin Baldoni, among others, strongly denied claims made by Lively. They accused her of falsely and deliberately suggesting she was shown pornographic or nude images of Heath’s wife while they were filming.

Lively insists she viewed a video depicting childbirth—or at the very least, one that started with graphic medical content she considered highly disturbing.
Judge Liman confirmed the videos are highly private and confidential, and legally protected from public release. An existing court order ensures the footage remains confidential.
However, sensitivity alone was not enough to shield it from the discovery process.
The judge ordered Heath to provide the video footage within three days.
The judge partially approved and partially rejected the request. Importantly, the judge agreed with Lively that she has the right to view all versions of the video.
The Clerk of Court was directed to close the motion.
Lively initially raised the claim in early court documents related to her lawsuit, which centers on the use of her work in the book It Ends With Us without her permission.
The argument about the video of the birth has become a surprisingly strange and fiercely debated part of the legal battle.
Heath was questioned under oath earlier this year and admitted there were several videos of his wife giving birth. This led Lively to ask the court to make sure all of the videos were turned over.
Now that Heath has been told to hand over all the evidence, Lively’s lawyers will examine the footage. They’re trying to confirm if it shows the explicit birth scenes Lively describes, rather than the mild, family-friendly version Heath insists he showed her.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following the news, and it’s really concerning. Last December, actress Lively filed a lawsuit making some very serious allegations against actor Baldoni, his production company Wayfarer Studios, and others involved in the film adaptation of that popular Colleen Hoover novel. She claims she experienced sexual harassment, and that when she spoke up, she faced retaliation and emotional distress during filming. It’s a difficult situation, and it highlights the importance of safe and respectful work environments in the entertainment industry.
Heath, who produced the film and leads Wayfarer Studios, was one of the people Blake Lively accused in her lawsuit filed in December. Everyone named in the suit denies any wrongdoing.
In a now-closed legal case, Baldoni and Heath claimed Lively falsely and repeatedly insisted she had been shown pornographic or nude pictures of Heath’s wife while they were filming.
According to them, Lively falsely and with harmful intent claimed that during the filming of the birth scene, Heath, following the director’s instructions, tried to show her a video explaining the director’s idea for how the scene should look.
It went on that the video ‘which ultimately was not shown to Lively…is by all accounts beautiful’.
The team maintained that despite Lively requesting to view the video after her meal, she was initially shown only the very beginning – a clip of Heath, his wife, and their newborn baby shortly after the baby was born at home.
The lawsuit argues it’s deeply offensive to label this intimate photo of a new father with his baby – shared with his wife’s permission for use in the film – as ‘naked’ or, even worse, ‘pornographic’.
Lively alleged that Heath came up to them and began playing a video depicting a naked woman in a sexually explicit position.

According to the complaint, Ms. Lively believed Mr. Heath was showing her inappropriate content and told him to stop. Mr. Heath then explained the video actually showed his wife giving birth.
Ms. Lively was surprised and asked Mr. Heath if his wife was aware he was showing the video. He responded that she wouldn’t mind, implying Ms. Lively was being unreasonable for being concerned.
I can’t even begin to tell you how shocked Blake and her assistant were! Seriously, Mr. Heath just… showed them a nude video! They were completely stunned, they just had to excuse themselves, they were so taken aback. I mean, can you imagine?! It’s just… unbelievable!
According to her legal team, in a previous, unsuccessful lawsuit, the defendants from Wayfarer admitted that Heath showed Lively a video of his child’s home birth because Baldoni had asked him to. They claimed this was meant to illustrate Baldoni’s creative ideas for the birthing scene featuring Lively’s character, Lily Bloom, at the movie’s conclusion.
Okay, so this whole situation with Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni is getting really complicated. He’s officially responded to her lawsuit – and not by apologizing! Instead, he’s filed his own lawsuit, claiming she’s damaging his reputation. He’s including Blake’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, and her publicist in this one too, so it’s definitely escalating. He’s strongly denying everything she’s alleged, of course.
He’s suing The New York Times for $400 million, claiming they harmed his reputation by publishing a report about allegations of sexual harassment on the set of the movie ‘It Ends With Us.’ He strongly denies the claims made in the report.
After his attempt to fight back was rejected in June, Baldoni was left as the sole defendant in Lively’s sexual harassment lawsuit.
Recent court documents, as reported by the Daily Mail last month, suggest the judge has dismissed his accusations against Lively, Reynolds, and The Times.

Documents obtained by the Daily Mail indicate the Baldoni’s lawsuits against the three involved parties have officially concluded in district court with a final judgment.
The actor and director, age 41, didn’t file a new version of his lawsuit by the court’s deadline, even though he was given time to do so after his original case was dismissed in June.
On Friday, Judge Lewis Liman shared that he had notified everyone involved in the case on October 17th, letting them know he planned to issue a final ruling to close it.
While ‘It Ends With Us’ made $148 million in the US and $350 million worldwide, recent allegations against the actors involved have taken attention away from the film’s success.
The film featured Jenny Slate, Hasan Minhaj, Brandon Sklenar, and Kevin McKidd, and was adapted from Colleen Hoover’s 2016 novel.
I was completely gripped by the movie’s story, which really focused on the complicated and often damaging relationship between Lily Bloom, played by Blake Lively, and Ryle Kincaid, portrayed by Justin Baldoni. It was intense and showed a really unhealthy dynamic between the two characters.
The Daily Mail has reached out to Lively and Baldoni’s representatives for comment.
