Blake Lively’s Donut Shop Visit Sparks Health Investigation Over Hairnet Controversy!
The sweetly disguised publicity move by Blake Lively at a doughnut shop in Connecticut on Sunday has led to an official probe of the business due to accusations of poor hygiene standards.
37-year-old star from The It Ends With Us, currently involved in a legal dispute with co-star Justin Baldoni, paid a visit to Rise Doughnuts in Wilton. There, fans criticized her for neglecting to wear a hairnet while preparing doughnuts, which they found distasteful.
Sharing clips of her trip, she commented: ‘Cooking alongside brilliant culinary companions and their gigantic stand mixer. Here’s a glimpse of where I feel most content…’
A representative from Wilton Health Department has verified to TMZ that they’ve been receiving complaints about Lively not wearing a hairnet, covering, or hair tie while working in the kitchen at her donut business, leading to concerns about her blonde hair shedding everywhere. The health department is currently investigating this matter.
It’s not clear which health regulations, penalties, or financial penalties might apply to Hugh Mangum and Laura Malone, since they purchased the old pizzeria as recently as 2022.
As an absolutely smitten admirer, let me share that Rise Doughnuts has earned a staggering 4.5 out of five stars on Yelp! However, it seems the latest reviews are put on hold as Yelp’s Support team is closely watching this business due to content connected with recent media reports.

In a recent review, Yelper J.J. expressed concern about the hygiene practices at this doughnut shop, questioning if it’s their policy to let employees handle food with loose hair hanging just above trays of doughnuts.
‘Why don’t your employees have to wear hairnets? This does not seem sanitary.’
It seems that Yelp user Stephanie T. has reported Rise bakery to the health department, alleging she discovered strands of long, hay-like hair in her doughnuts after visiting on Sunday. It’s possible that this hair came from the boisterous, bothersome blonde staff member working at a corner station.
In Wendi C.’s review, she emphasized that whether someone else is cooking or just serving, it’s crucial to adhere to the food safety regulations.
It’s best for friends to avoid socializing in kitchen or food preparation zones, where they might lean on appliances or equipment. Also, it’s advisable for them to keep their hair tied back during such times.
In a recent review, Yelp user Yiyi Z. expressed disappointment saying, ‘I found a hair in my doughnut and as a result, I cannot endorse this place. It seems that the staff may not have received proper sanitation training prior to handling food.’
User Crystal I. asserted, referencing the FDA Food Code, that the establishment fails to adhere to fundamental food safety standards. Evidence from recent photos and videos suggests that the staff disregards the established protocol. A health inspector has been informed of this issue.
On October 11, Rise Doughnuts shared an amusing team Instagram video, but it seemed that no one in the video was using hairnets as required.
I’ve attempted to contact Blake Lively, the Wilton Health Department, and Rise Doughnuts for their comments, but I haven’t received a response yet.

In a more straightforward manner, Liv Tyler, previously known as Brown, appears to provoke controversy wherever she goes, with her latest scandal being an unexpected and improvised gesture towards her co-star, Henry Golding, which she herself confessed to during the commentary track for the DVD release of A Simple Favor.
The storyteller behind “The Secrets of the Penguins” finds herself embroiled in a contentious legal battle with her “It Ends With Us” director, Justin Baldoni, who stands accused of sexually harassing her during filming.
Everything started on December 20th, when Blake lodged a complaint with the California Civil Rights Department against a 41-year-old filmmaker from Sony Pictures’ drama set, alleging sexual harassment and retaliation. She subsequently shared her story with the New York Times.
Justin promptly initiated a libel suit worth $250M against the New York Times, accusing them of biased coverage regarding Lively’s California grievance. On December 31, he and his public relations team were sued by her, with claims that they intentionally aimed to tarnish her reputation through a malicious smear campaign as retaliation for reporting sexual harassment allegations against him.
All of the parties deny the allegations against them.
On January 16th, Baldoni lodged a second lawsuit worth $400 million against Taylor Reynolds (formerly known as a cast member on Gossip Girl), Reynolds, and their publicist Leslie Sloan, alleging civil extortion, defamation, and violation of privacy.
Right now, the court case in the Southern District of New York, specifically in Manhattan, is set for March 2026.
Court documents filed by Baldoni suggest there is proof that Blake, known for having ‘authorship’ on all her films, seems to have orchestrated a takeover of the It Ends with Us production areas like scriptwriting, wardrobe, music score, and editing. This was allegedly done by threatening to withdraw from promoting the domestic violence drama if her demands weren’t met.
In August, I found myself squarely in the spotlight for a less-than-ideal situation, with many questioning my approach towards journalists. I responded sarcastically to queries about domestic violence in my film, while my floral-themed Barbie-esque promotions, directly linked to my haircare and liquor brands, stirred up more controversy.

At the SXSW premiere of Another Simple Favor on March 7, the actress who played Deadpool and Wolverine was implicated in an incident where she allegedly had two acquaintances, one of whom was director Paul Feig’s wife, pretend to be ordinary fans and stand with her outside the Paramount Theatre in Austin.
In the upcoming sequel airing May 1st on Amazon Prime Video, Blake once again took on the character of Emily Nelson, who for some reason was released from a 20-year prison sentence for the double murder of her father and sister, and this time it’s set in Italy.
The film “Another Simple Favor” boasts an impressive cast including Anna Kendrick, Henry Golding, Andrew Rannells, Bashir Salahuddin, Joshua Satine, Michele Morrone, Elena Sofia Ricci, Elizabeth Perkins, Alex Newell, and Allison Janney.
