Blake Lively just won a major step in her heated sexual harassment lawsuit.
A federal judge has ordered the producer of the movie It Ends With Us, Jamey Heath, to release all video footage of his wife Natasha’s home birth. Actress Natasha Lyonne, 38, alleges that Heath unexpectedly showed her the footage while they were working on set.
As a lifestyle expert, I’m always fascinated by how legal dramas unfold, and this one’s a quick turnaround! Judge Lewis J. Liman just made a ruling in New York – he’s ordered Heath to hand over a birth video within just three days. It was a pretty direct order, laid out in a six-page document, and things are moving fast.
This decision follows Lively’s request to penalize Heath for not providing video footage she claims is crucial to her legal case. In the lawsuit, Lively alleges that Heath approached her and her assistant on set and then showed them a clip of a nude woman in a compromising position, which Lively initially thought was pornography.
Heath later told her the video depicted his wife giving birth, according to Lively’s complaint.
Heath claims he didn’t show Lively any footage of the birth itself, only a video taken after the baby was born, featuring him, his wife, and their newborn.

Judge Liman stated in his decision that Lively requested a court order requiring Heath to provide all video recordings of the childbirth, encompassing every version that captured the delivery itself.
Heath opposed turning over anything beyond the short post-birth clip he admits showing her.
But the court disagreed with him.
Since Lively says she saw birth footage, while Heath denies it, the judge believes the complete footage could prove Lively is telling the truth and disprove Heath’s version of events.
Judge Liman stated that since the court’s request for video footage included more than just what Heath said he showed Lively, all of the extra footage should have been turned over.
The court made it clear that Lively’s request for information is very broad, encompassing any documents or messages that mention, describe, prove, or are actually part of the claims being made – and that specifically includes the video footage of the birth.
Court documents show Lively claims Heath came up to her and her assistant while they were working and started playing a video of a nude woman on his device.
Lively says she immediately stopped him because she thought he was showing her pornography.

Heath then claimed it was footage of his wife giving birth.
The Wayfarer Parties, Heath, Wayfarer Studios, and Justin Baldoni, among others, have denied Lively’s claim that she was shown pornographic or nude images of Heath’s wife while they were filming, calling her suggestion ‘outrageous and knowingly false’.
Lively insists she viewed a video depicting childbirth, or at the very least, one that started with graphic medical content she considered highly disturbing.
Judge Liman confirmed the videos are highly private and confidential, and legally shielded from public release. An existing court order already prevents them from being made public.
However, sensitivity alone was not enough to shield it from the discovery process.
The judge ordered Heath to submit the video within three days.

The judge partially approved and partially rejected the request, ruling in favor of Lively on the most important point: she has the right to view all versions of the video.
The Clerk of Court was directed to close the motion.
Lively initially raised the claim in early court documents related to her lawsuit, which centers on the use of her work in the creation of ‘It Ends With Us’ without her permission.
The argument about the video of the birth has become a surprisingly strange and fiercely debated part of the legal battle.
Heath was removed from his position earlier this year and, in legal documents, admitted there were several videos of his wife giving birth. This led Lively to ask the court to make sure all of the videos were turned over.
Now that Heath has been legally required to hand over all materials, Lively’s lawyers will examine the footage. They’re trying to confirm if it shows explicit birth scenes, as Lively says, or if it was simply a gentle, family-friendly moment after birth, as Heath insists.

Last December, Lively filed a lawsuit accusing Baldoni, 41, his production company Wayfarer Studios, and others of sexual harassment, unfair retaliation, and causing severe emotional distress while filming the movie adaptation of the Colleen Hoover novel.
Heath, who produced the film and leads Wayfarer Studios, was one of the people Blake Lively accused in her lawsuit filed in December. Everyone named in the lawsuit denies any wrongdoing.
In a now-closed legal case, Baldoni and Heath claimed Lively falsely and repeatedly insisted she had been shown pornographic or nude images of Heath’s wife while working on set.
Let me clear up what happened on set. There’s been a lot of talk, but the truth is, during the birthing scene, our director asked Heath to share a video with Blake. It was simply meant to help her understand his creative vision for the scene – a way to visually communicate what he was hoping to achieve. It wasn’t anything more than that, and certainly wasn’t intended to cause any harm or misrepresentation.

It went on that the video ‘which ultimately was not shown to Lively…is by all accounts beautiful’.
Despite Lively stating she wanted to view the video after finishing her meal, she was initially shown only the very beginning – a clip of Heath, his wife, and their newborn baby shortly after the baby was born at home.
As a huge supporter, I was absolutely horrified to see this beautiful, private moment – a photo of them with their newborn, shared with his wife’s permission for the film – described as a ‘naked photo’ or, even worse, ‘porn.’ It’s truly appalling and disrespectful.
Lively alleged that Heath came over and began playing a video depicting a nude woman in a sexually explicit pose.
According to the complaint, Ms. Lively believed Mr. Heath was showing her inappropriate content and asked him to stop. He clarified that the video was actually of his wife giving birth.

Ms. Lively was surprised and questioned Mr. Heath about whether his wife was aware he was showing the video. He responded that his wife wasn’t bothered by it, implying Ms. Lively was being unreasonable for objecting.
I seriously can’t even imagine how shocked Blake and her assistant were! Apparently, this guy, Heath, just casually showed them a nude video! I mean, totally out of the blue! They were so stunned, they just had to excuse themselves. It’s just… wow. I’m still reeling thinking about how inappropriate that must have been for them!
According to her legal team, in a previous lawsuit that was dismissed, the defendants from Wayfarer stated that Heath showed Lively a video of his child’s home birth because Baldoni had asked him to. They claimed this was meant to illustrate Baldoni’s creative ideas for the birthing scene involving Lively’s character, Lily Bloom, at the film’s conclusion.
In the ongoing legal battle between the former co-stars, Baldoni responded to Lively’s sexual harassment lawsuit by filing his own claim against her, alleging defamation. He also included Lively’s husband, actor Ryan Reynolds, and her publicist, Leslie Sloane, in the defamation suit.
He is suing The New York Times for $400 million, claiming they harmed his reputation by publishing a report detailing allegations of sexual harassment made by Lively during the filming of ‘It Ends With Us.’ He strongly denies these allegations.
After his attempt to fight back was rejected in June, Baldoni was left as the sole defendant in Lively’s sexual harassment lawsuit.
Recent court documents, as reported by the Daily Mail last month, suggest the judge has dismissed his lawsuits against Lively, Reynolds, and The Times.

Oh my gosh, I just saw the court documents! It’s finally over! It looks like the Baldonis’ lawsuits against those three people are officially DONE. The court has entered a final judgment, which basically means the case is closed! I’ve been following this for SO long, and I can’t believe it’s actually finished. It’s a huge relief, honestly!
The actor and director, age 41, didn’t file an updated lawsuit by the court’s deadline. A judge had previously dismissed his case in June and given him time to revise and resubmit it.
On Friday, Judge Lewis Liman stated in court that he had notified all parties involved on October 17th, letting them know he would soon issue a final ruling to close the case.
While ‘It Ends With Us’ was a box office success, earning $148 million in the US and $350 million worldwide, recent allegations involving the film’s actors have drawn more attention than its initial positive reception.
The film featured Jenny Slate, Hasan Minhaj, Brandon Sklenar, and Kevin McKidd, and was adapted from Colleen Hoover’s 2016 novel.
The movie’s plot focused on the unhealthy and damaging relationship between Lily Bloom, portrayed by Blake Lively, and Ryle Kincaid, played by Justin Baldoni.
The Daily Mail has reached out to Lively and Baldoni’s representatives for comment.
