Blake Lively will be forced to answer tough questions about It Ends With Us production in bold legal move

In the current stage of the legal disputes arising from the popular summer romance movie “It Ends with Us,” a date has been scheduled for Blake Lively to respond to queries posed by the lawyers representing her co-star in the film, Justin Baldoni.

An email from July 2 confirmed that Lively, who has four kids with her spouse Ryan Reynolds (aged 48), will have her deposition on July 17.

New information surfaced following a petition for a seven-day extension, as lawyers for Lively, aged 37, had issued subpoenas to two of Baldoni’s publicists. This action prompted the attorneys of these publicists to file a related motion, according to People’s report on Monday.

Originally cast as Gossip Girl, the actor who recently had charges dropped from Baldoni’s $400 million defamation and extortion lawsuit about a month ago, may potentially testify when the trial starts in New York City, scheduled for March 2026.

As a lifestyle expert, I can share some exclusive insights: A significant event is set to unfold in the bustling heart of New York City, according to my trusted sources. However, the exact location remains undisclosed at this time. My reliable contacts close to Lively have revealed that she is gearing up for a series of challenging questions. Interestingly, it appears Reynolds won’t be present at this occasion.

Daily Mail has reached out to reps for Lively and Baldoni for further comment on the story.

On June 10, attorney Bryan Freedman for actor Jussie Baldoni spoke with TMZ Live, following a day when a New York City judge dismissed a $400 million lawsuit that Baldoni had filed against Blake Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds, alleging defamation and extortion.

The attorney acknowledged that although they weren’t happy with the dismissal of the defamation lawsuit, it wasn’t the main issue at hand in the case.

Next, the lawyer summarized the chain of incidents resulting in the significant legal dispute connected to the unexpected summer blockbuster.

He mentioned that the initiation stemmed from Blake Lively submitting a CRD complaint, followed by her filing a lawsuit. This legal action implicated some highly respected individuals in a smear campaign and falsely accused an outstanding young man of sexual harassment, neither of which were accurate.

‘And that’s where the case got started’ and ‘where the case stands today.’

Freedman clarified that our goal in winning was to demonstrate unequivocally that there were no malicious campaigns or instances of sexual harassment. He emphasized that her accusations have not been substantiated; on the contrary, they seem to be unfounded.

Freedman shared with TMZ Live that the initial evidence shown during the court case seems extremely harmful for Lively and Reynolds.

The lawyer stated, “Consider the evidence, observe its outcomes, examine the bills, watch the video.

Freedman revealed to the media outlet that debunking the statements Lively made has consistently been the top priority for Baldoni’s team, along with seeking compensation.

He mentioned that he was hoping Lively wouldn’t withdraw her lawsuit, as he believed she was embarking on a misleading triumphal journey and feared the unveiling of the truth.

In simpler terms, Freedman stated that the truth will be revealed through depositions, which are scheduled for June. We’ll find out if she’ll attend this deposition. If she does, we’ll move forward with the case and prove that there was no sexual harassment or smear campaign.

In simple terms, Freedman expressed his hope that the deposition would attract a broad audience due to the intense public curiosity surrounding both the movie and the events unfolding during its production, as reported to People magazine in May.

Given that Miss Lively is willing to testify, let’s ensure her appearance is impactful. Let’s conduct the deposition at Madison Square Garden, either sell tickets or live-stream it, and donate all proceeds to charities supporting those affected by domestic violence, he suggested.

On Monday, the actress issued a strong declaration on June 9, following swiftly after a court decision dismissed Baldoni’s lawsuit.

Last week, I stood with 19 other groups advocating for women’s right to safety, as stated by Lively on Instagram. Just like countless others, I have experienced the distress of a baseless legal action, and the attempt to shatter us through false accusations of shame.

The Hollywood star, hailing from Los Angeles, went on to say: ‘Although my lawsuit was dismissed, there are numerous individuals who lack the means to defend themselves.’

With renewed determination, Vivian pledged to persistently advocate for each woman’s right to express themselves, encompassing their safety, self-respect, honor, and narrative.

Vibrant, she expressed gratitude towards the public for their support during a challenging year.

In a heartfelt manner, expressing thanks to those who have supported me along the way, I acknowledge that I am familiar with many of you, but there are also many others whom I do not yet know. However, my appreciation and advocacy for each and every one of you will never cease.

Instead of adding a list, the actress who played in “The It Ends With Us,” who’s been embroiled in a legal dispute affecting her friendship with Taylor Swift, chose to highlight organizations that publicly stood by her during the widely publicized Hollywood conflict.

Among these organizations, each playing a crucial role in advocacy, I found myself aligned with the California Employment Lawyers Association, California Women’s Law Center, CHILD USA, Coalition Against Trafficking in Women, Equal Rights Advocates, Esperanza United, Her Justice, and Herunivercity Inc. Each of these groups is dedicated to fostering fairness, equality, and justice within their respective fields, making a significant impact on the lives of many individuals across California and beyond.

In an apparent shift of tides within the case, I found myself directly addressing Baldoni yesterday, pointing out that a multitude of women’s organizations seem to have distanced themselves from him in significant numbers.

In this way, I convey the same idea but in a more conversational and first-person narrative style as a lifestyle expert might use.

In summary, 19 prominent advocates and groups focusing on women’s rights, children’s rights, and domestic violence have collectively joined four different legal documents called amicus briefs, as reported by a representative of the actress from Another Simple Favor to Daily Mail.

As a champion of empowerment and equality, I stand firm in my conviction against Justin Baldoni’s efforts to undermine the legislation that safeguards women’s voices – all for his self-preservation.

Lively’s team pointed out that Baldoni seems to be acting contrary to his own strategies as the intricate legal case unfolds, which makes him more susceptible to closer examination following his previous public remarks.

Instead of basing his argument on facts, Baldoni appears to be contradicting his long-standing public image – a stark shift from the message he once promoted through his YouTube videos, podcasts, TED Talks, and interviews. In those platforms, he encouraged men to listen to the women in their lives, empathize with their pain, and believe them, even if their testimonies went against him. This is according to Lively’s representative.

‘These women and groups are raising concerns over his use of DARVO strategies, which may have a far-reaching and chilling impact, going beyond this particular instance.’

A party that can feel some relief following the dismissal of Baldoni’s lawsuit is Marvel Entertainment, LLC.

Baldoni issued a subpoena to the studio, asking them to keep any papers linked to the character Nicepool (Deadpool and Wolverine hybrid), as Baldoni’s lawyers asserted it was created with the intention of mocking, harassing, ridiculing, intimidating, or bullying Baldoni.

Following the dismissal of Baldoni’s lawsuit, Liman consented to Marvel’s demand to “cancel the subpoena sent to Marvel by Baldoni’s parties and request a protective order preventing the release of Marvel’s confidential files.

On the 7th of January, Baldoni’s team wrote a letter asking Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and Bob Iger, the CEO of parent company Walt Disney, to preserve certain documents.

In a lawsuit, Lively alleges that Baldoni has committed sexual harassment; however, Baldoni countersued Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, their publicist Leslie Sloane, accusing them of defamation and extortion in a $400 million suit – the extortion charge was dropped on Monday.

In a recent turn of events, Baldoni has refuted the claims presented by Lively. On the other hand, Lively, Reynolds, and Sloane have all dismissed the allegations leveled against them in court by Baldoni.

In December, Lively (previously known as Serena van der Woodsen from Gossip Girl) filed a lawsuit against Baldoni due to allegations of sexual harassment that occurred during the filming process. In this lawsuit, she claimed that Baldoni subjected her to various forms of sexual harassment, such as body shaming, and orchestrated a negative campaign against her to tarnish her reputation.

In response to the legal action, Baldoni and his representatives assert that Lively distorted the intended meaning of text messages and deceived the public regarding their behind-the-scenes communications during the filmmaking process.

In her court case, Lively listed several individuals who work with Baldoni, such as his production company Wayfarer Studios, the CEO and investors of the studio, and public relations representatives Melissa Nathan and Jennifer Abel.

Later, Baldoni filed a lawsuit against the publication for $250 million, accusing them of defamation based on a December 21 article titled “‘We Can Bury Anyone’: Unveiling a Hollywood Slander Network”; however, the newspaper has refuted these claims.

I, Baldoni, filed a $400 million lawsuit on January 16, targeting Lively, Reynolds, and her publicist Leslie Sloane. The claim is that they defamed me and attempted extortion. In the court’s hearing, I asserted that this group fabricated ‘unfounded accusations of sexual harassment’ against me.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I recently found myself immersed in the captivating world of a movie adaptation from Colleen Hoover’s 2016 novel. In this tale, I took on the role of Lily Bloom, a passionate florist, while my counterpart was portrayed by the talented Baldoni as Ryle Kincaid.
