Blake Lively Shares Loved-Up Snap with Ryan Reynolds Amid Legal War and Scathing Movie Reviews
On Sunday night, Blake Lively radiated positivity while posting a heartwarming selfie alongside her partner, Ryan Reynolds.
In the picture, the Hollywood duo flashed their smiles as Ryan donned a striped sweater and a Wrexham lager beanie hat, while Blake, aged 37, leaned her head on his shoulder.
The joint action takes place during her continuous legal battle with filmmaker Justin Baldoni over his movie, It Ends With Us.
The Gossip Girl star has been making multiple public appearances lately as she promotes her new movie Another Simple Favor, however its promotions have been overshadowed by the increasingly rancorous legal battle between Blake and Justin.
To heap misery upon trouble, there’s a continuous flow of speculation suggesting a strained relationship between Blake and her fellow actress Anna Kendrick off-screen, fueled by whispers of tension between them.
Blake’s actions didn’t manage to quell any speculation about their relationship, as she inadvertently hinted that there might be tension between her and the actress who is 39 years old.

Taking to Instagram, Blake shared a gallery of photographs from the movie’s promotional tour in Austin and gushed over working with ‘each of you’ in a caption.
She featured pictures of her co-star Anna and the film’s director Paul Feig at the SXSW Film Festival, but they weren’t in any of the behind-the-scenes snaps.
Other than her co-star Michele Morrone, 34, being included in pictures of them playing table tennis, all of the group shots simply featured members of Blake’s own team.
From the twenty photos taken, it was only in one picture that Anna appeared alongside Blake on stage during the SXSW Film Festival on Friday, not any of the shots capturing Blake’s social evenings with her crew.
Additionally, Blake faced another disappointment since the movie has been met with harsh criticism by two prominent Hollywood review publications.
Since its debut at the South by Southwest Film Festival last week, reviews from prominent critics are starting to come in, with a few notable ones offering less-than-positive feedback.
Another Simple Favor was blasted as ‘silly and sometimes trying’ by The Hollywood Reporter, as Variety accused it of ‘samey-sameness’ and noted it ‘drags on.’
The Hollywood Reporter argued that the movie ‘doesn’t prove to be the exception’ to the rule that sequels ‘rarely live up to the standards of their predecessors.’

Elsewhere in the latest update amid her legal war with Justin, the director’s attorney Bryan Freedman addressed using the word ‘victim’ amid the ongoing lawsuit between his client and Blake.
Last week, Freedman made an appearance on The Town podcast to delve into the ongoing legal dispute instigated by Blake’s accusations of sexual harassment and retaliation, which Justin refutes, as well as his lawsuit against Blake, a claim she likewise disputes.
At the pre-trial hearing held on March 6th, Freedman clarified to the court that there was no intention of causing harm to Ms. Lively in any manner. He also asserted that his clients were exercising their right to defend themselves, emphasizing that this action should not be construed as victim abuse.
In the podcast, Belloni questioned Freedman about the meaning of his statement, specifically asking “Are you implying that Blake is the one who’s being wronged in this situation?
Freedman responded, ‘I actually think that a lot of people are victims here.’
He went on, mentioning others implicated in the numerous allegations, “I believe Justin has been wronged, I believe Melissa Nathan has been wronged. I believe Jed Wallace has been wronged as well. I also believe Jen Abel has suffered harm.
The latest development follows reports that while Lively has secured a protective order in the case, it won’t fully shield the legal battle from public scrutiny.
Despite the Gossip Girl star, 37, receiving a modified protective order by a federal judge on Thursday, DailyMail.com has learned the court limited the scope of the restrictions she sought.
While both the former It Ends With Us costars’ teams will have the option to designate some sensitive material to be restricted to ‘attorneys’ eyes only’ (AEO), ultimately, if the case goes to trial, it’s unlikely the court will ‘seal or otherwise afford confidential treatment’ for any documents that end up as evidence.
This means that as long as the actress and Baldoni, 41, do not settle out of court, ‘very few secrets’ will stay hidden and ‘everything will come out at trial anyway.’
According to People, Judge Lewis J. Liman ruled that the materials protected by Attorneys’ Eyes Only designation ‘can only be applied if their disclosure is ‘highly likely to cause a significant business, commercial, financial or privacy injury.’
In regards to the latest legal update, Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, told DailyMail.com: ‘We are fully in agreement with the Court’s decision to provide a narrow scope of protections to categories such as private mental health records and personal security measures that have never been of interest to us as opposed to Ms. Lively’s exceedingly over broad demand for documents for a 2.5 year period of time which the court rightly quashed.’
He went on saying, “We are still concentrating on the essential conversations aimed at refuting the baseless claims made by Ms. Lively.
