According to reports, Blake Lively is apparently preparing herself for whatever the upcoming year might throw at her, by officially filing a lawsuit against Justin Baldoni, following the public disclosure of the sexual harassment accusations she made against him only a few weeks ago.
On New Year’s Eve, the actress known for Gossip Girl, aged 37, filed her lawsuit. This was the exact day when Baldoni initiated a legal action worth $250 million, accusing the New York Times of libel due to their sensational reporting on Lively’s initial complaint.
In a recent claim, Lively has asserted that Baldoni fostered an unhealthy work atmosphere while filming “It Ends With Us”. However, Baldoni firmly refutes these charges.
On Friday, it was exclusively revealed by DailyMail.com that Baldoni intends to submit a ‘stunning countersuit’ as soon as the courts resume operation following the New Year break.
Still, Lively shows no signs of backing down.
Based on information from a source who talked to People on Tuesday, it appears that the actress has been keeping in frequent touch with her lawyers and is confident about having a spectacular beginning to the upcoming year.
She remains convinced that what she’s doing is correct, and she’s prepared to face any challenges ahead, as they pointed out.
Currently, it has been reported that Lively derives her resilience from her cherished relatives, expressing profound gratitude for being enveloped by a family that radiates love and a circle of friends who offer unwavering support – notably her spouse Ryan Reynolds and their quartet of children.
According to an informant, Ryan consistently goes out of his way each day to help alleviate her tension and offer support, stated at 48 years old.
In the 80-page legal document Blake filed, she claims Justin acted inappropriately while filming It Ends With Us. This alleged behavior includes entering her makeup room when she was bare-chested, displaying explicit images and a graphic birth video to her, discussing his presumed porn addiction, making comments about his own body parts, and demanding numerous takes for an improvised scene where he reportedly bit and kissed her forcefully.
Over the summer, whispers about strain between them started spreading as they seemed to steer clear of each other during the movie’s publicity events. These rumors intensified into a legal dispute when Lively filed a lawsuit against him last week.
Soon after the New Year, Baldoni plans to submit a response lawsuit when the courts resume operations.
The counterclaim will assert that Lively’s team, not Baldoni, is behind the smear campaign.
Additionally, it may call into question the truthfulness of emails, text messages, and WhatsApp communications attributed to Baldoni’s representatives, suggesting they were misunderstood.
Furthermore, the opposing argument may assert that Lively’s influential publicist, Leslie Sloane, was responsible for spreading harmful media reports about Baldoni.
In her grievance, Lively asserted that Baldoni and certain companions collaboratively initiated a harmful public smear against her, aiming to tarnish her good name.
I’m optimistic that my lawsuit will expose these underhanded strategies used to punish individuals who reveal wrongdoing, thereby safeguarding others potentially facing similar situations,” she shared with The New York Times.
Baldoni has denied all allegations made in Lively’s lawsuit.
After submitting the legal documents, Baldoni has faced various consequences, such as a lawsuit filed by a previous publicist and getting let go by the WME agency, who also manage Lively and Reynolds.
On December 24th, Vital Voices declared they were withdrawing the Voices of Solidarity Award they had previously granted to Baldoni in the same month.
