Blake Lively lives it up at Nickelodeon theme park as Justin Baldoni trial nears amid legal battle

Blake Lively enjoyed a fun trip to a theme park this week, seemingly taking a break while her legal issues with Justin Baldoni continue.

The 38-year-old actress, fresh off a lovely week in the Cotswolds, shared some fun moments on her Instagram Stories while visiting Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park in New Jersey on Tuesday.

This news follows a recent string of wins for Baldoni as he pursues legal action against his former publicist.

A photo showed Blake Lively with Kendall Glazer, co-founder of Stoney Clover Lane, posing alongside a character from Paw Patrol.

I always say a classic turtleneck and jeans is a foolproof outfit! I spotted Blake Lively looking absolutely radiant in that exact combo – a cozy gray turtleneck paired with light-wash denim. It’s effortlessly chic and proves you don’t need a lot to look and feel great.

She had long, blonde hair that fell in soft waves, and a yellow cap sat on top.

The star also had fun on a Fairly Oddparents ride as she simultaneously talked on the phone.

She originally captioned the photo ‘Work from home,’ but then she changed it to ‘Work from roller coaster’ by crossing out ‘home’ and writing ‘roller coaster’ instead.

Lively got to test out the Human Crane game and won prizes, including an inflatable donut.

‘I’ve never had so much fun being humiliated in public,’ the Hollywood actress captioned the reel.

The celebrity shared a photo originally posted by Glazer, featuring the two of them with a friend, proudly displaying their wristbands for entry to the theme park.

It’s unclear if Lively brought her four children – James, 11, Inez, 9, Betty, 6, and Otis, 3 – with her, as they share custody with her husband, Ryan Reynolds.

A recent viral video on X shows the couple attending the Broadway show ‘Just In Time’ in New York City with their three oldest children.

Lively recently shared photos from her trip to the U.K. with Reynolds on Instagram, giving fans a peek into their travels.

It seemed their children and Robyn, her sister, were also invited on the trip.

She shared photos from when she and Ryan Reynolds supported his Welsh soccer team, Wrexham, at a game, even though they ended up losing to Chelsea.

Lively and Reynolds also paused for a quick selfie as they spent quality time together on the trip.

Oh my gosh, they went to Soho Farmhouse! You guys, it’s this incredibly exclusive club and hotel out in the countryside, in Oxfordshire. It’s SO hard to get in, which obviously makes it even more amazing that they were there. I’m seriously dying of envy!

A slightly out-of-focus photo shows Reynolds giving one of his children a piggyback ride while walking in a garden.

She wrote in the caption: ‘so grateful for the best week with my loved ones.

Thank you to Wrexham AFC, the players, and everyone at the stadium for an unforgettable performance. Sharing that emotional experience with the fans in Wrexham – the best 10,000 there are – was incredible.

She ended by jokingly calling out anyone who worries about being photographed when they’re actually being filmed – she even gave a shout-out to her sister, who she featured in slide 10!

Her recent trip to the Nickelodeon theme park happened shortly after Baldoni achieved several favorable results in their continuing legal battle.

The judge in charge agreed to reschedule the initial hearings in the case, and also permitted his own related lawsuit to continue.

According to court documents obtained by Daily Mail, a judge has allowed Wayfarer, the production company owned by Baldoni, to proceed with its lawsuit against his former publicist, Stephanie Jones, alleging defamation.

In legal documents, Wayfarer stated that Jones informed Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, and Lively’s representative, Leslie Sloane, that the production company had tried to damage Lively’s reputation following her accusations of sexual misconduct against Justin Baldoni.

Jones asked the court to throw out the lawsuit, but the judge decided there were enough questions about what the firm said about Baldoni’s former publicist to continue the case, court records show.

The court denied Jones’s attempt to add producer Jamey Heath as a party to the existing lawsuit, according to court documents.

Daily Mail reached out to representatives for Baldoni and Lively for further comment on the story.

A Wayfarer spokesperson said in a statement to the Daily Mail last Thursday that they were happy with the court’s decision. The court rejected Stephanie Jones’s request to drop Wayfarer’s lawsuit, meaning claims of defamation and unfair practices will continue to be pursued.

The judge sided with Baldoni and Wayfarer and gave more time for the case to move forward. A status conference is scheduled for April 2nd to discuss progress.

As a long-time follower of this case, it’s become clear to me that the recent decision stemmed from what Baldoni’s lawyers described as a deliberate tactic by Lively’s team. They apparently flooded us with an overwhelming amount of documents right before the May trial, seemingly to try and overwhelm us. It felt like a real attempt to muddy the waters and make it harder to prepare a solid defense.

Attorneys representing Baldoni and others connected to Wayfarer requested a Zoom conference with Judge Lewis J. Liman of the Southern District of New York, along with an extension of one week for filing deadlines and the date of the pretrial conference.

According to court documents obtained by People, Baldoni’s lawyers claim Lively’s legal team has unnecessarily complicated the case by submitting an overwhelming amount of evidence that isn’t useful for the trial.

Lively’s lawyers proposed a large number of potential exhibits – nearly 1,000 – and listed 40 possible witnesses, according to a filing by Baldoni’s legal team.

As the trial nears, Baldoni’s attorneys argued they shouldn’t be overwhelmed with a large amount of documents, including many irrelevant items they wouldn’t even be allowed to use in court.

Baldoni’s lawyers requested an extension to review the opposing side’s documents and prepare instructions for the jury.

Baldoni’s lawyers argued that it was too early to finalize the jury’s decision form, especially with their request to have the case dismissed still pending.

On March 26th, Lively’s legal team argued that the opposing side’s request for a large number of documents was simply a delaying tactic and shouldn’t be granted.

As a long-time follower of this case, I was really hoping to see a resolution, but it looks like things are still complicated. I understand that Mr. Baldoni and Ms. Lively recently spent six hours with Judge Cave trying to reach a settlement before the trial starts on May 18th, but unfortunately, they weren’t able to come to an agreement. It’s frustrating to see it drag on, but hopefully, they can still find a way forward.

The legal dispute has been ongoing for over a year. In December 2024, Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni, alleging sexual harassment, unfair retaliation, and causing intentional emotional distress.

Lively also identified several people and entities connected to Baldoni, such as his production company Wayfarer Studios, its CEO who provides funding, and the team handling public relations.

Initially, Baldoni sought $250 million from The New York Times, alleging defamation in a report they published. He later combined this claim with a $400 million lawsuit he’d already filed in January 2025.

The lawsuit, which named Blake Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and her publicist Leslie Sloane, was based on the previously mentioned report. A judge dismissed the case in June of last year.

All parties have denied all of the allegations against them.
