Blake Lively launches hair care line Blake Brown Beauty: Ryan Reynolds’ wife reveals she’s been working on the project for 7 YEARS calling it ‘a beast to build’
As a die-hard fan of Blake Lively, it’s hard not to feel ecstatic about her latest venture into the world of haircare! With seven years of dedication and tireless effort, she has finally created Blake Brown – a line that promises affordability without compromising on quality.
Next week, it’s been announced that Blake Lively will launch a personal haircare line she’s spent seven years perfecting. The collection will be available for purchase both on her website and exclusively at Target stores.
As a diehard fan, I couldn’t contain my excitement earlier this week when whispers started swirling about a new beauty brand. And lo and behold, it turns out to be none other than the radiant 36-year-old Gossip Girl alum confirming her latest business endeavor! This venture, named Blake Brown, has me absolutely captivated.
Since I was a child up until now, regardless of the stage in life or location, one distinctive feature that defines me has consistently been my hair – not my personality, as it seems I made an error.
As a devoted follower, I’d like to share my perspective: ‘For over three decades now, it’s been my constant companion. Through thick and thin, we’ve journeyed together, and much like any relationship, its longevity depends on mutual care. To nurture this bond effectively, I’ve devised a method that has proven incredibly beneficial for me – an industry secret, so to speak, gleaned from years of working with top professionals and countless trials and errors.’
The actress, who’s wedded to Ryan Reynolds, pondered aloud that the extended production phase oscillated between being admirable and puzzling over how much time was required.
Following the recollection of her meticulous work on every aspect of her latest project, named Blake Brown, Lively shared the reason behind its creation.
As someone who has spent years working in the beauty industry and seeing the struggles of clients trying to find affordable yet high-quality products, I empathize with their dilemma. The quest for a perfect balance between affordability and performance is not an easy task, but it’s one that I was determined to achieve. Through trial and error, countless hours spent researching, and a deep understanding of the needs of my clients, I finally found a solution: creating a line of products that deliver salon/red carpet results at a price point that won’t break the bank.
As a devoted admirer, I can tell you that she expressed her desire for scents that evoke the luxuriousness of high-end perfumes – the kind I’d eagerly purchase myself.
She explained, “I aimed to make it more clean than the products I was using that were delivering fantastic outcomes, which gave me confidence in sharing it with my family. What I really wanted was to demonstrate that maximum sustainability can be stunningly beautiful. To achieve this, I ensured it was vegan, cruelty-free, and free from sulfates, silicones, parabens, synthetic dyes, and other harmful chemicals.”
Moreover, Lively, who takes pride in design, acknowledged that the attractiveness of the products was crucial for her. She believes that since the shelf space is precious in one’s home, it should be filled with items that are visually appealing.
“She enthusiastically shared that she was relentless in attaining everything all at once. Now, she understands why no single option met all her requirements concurrently – it was a challenging task indeed. Yet, she is immensely proud of the remarkable creation designed specifically for you.”
In a subsequent post, the actress, well-known for her part in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series, showcased herself sporting a chic black leather jacket and bold red lipstick.
In the image, her golden locks looked extra glamorous as they were gently swept to one side.
Ever since she stepped into the limelight, her striking honey-blond hair has consistently sparked a lot of conversation among fans.
People’s admiration for her beautiful hair grew even stronger while she portrayed Serena van der Woodsen on the popular TV series “Gossip Girl” for five years, which aired on The CW, sharing screen time with Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, and Chace Crawford.
In a chat with People, the resident of Los Angeles confessed that there have been more chances presented to her in the field of hair care compared to her profession as an actress.
She shared her reasoning for entering the haircare industry, stating that she preferred not to delve into something that was already established as she aimed to recreate the systems and patterns she admired.
Blake Brown is a tribute to her dad, Ernest (originally Brown), who changed his surname upon marrying Elaine Lively.
Blake is resolute about revealing her hair techniques to the public, explaining to Vogue that “it’s not just because people in the entertainment industry have inherently superior hair. Instead, we employ a distinct hair regimen that deviates from the popular system marketed to the general public.”
‘I don’t know anyone who uses conditioner in my industry,’ she pointed out.
Lively shared that she started using hair masks instead of conditioners a few years back, as her hair had previously become damaged and unhealthy.
Blake Brown will launch its first eight products on August 4.
This includes two shampoo and conditioner sets, a pre-shampoo mask and more, all under $25.
