Blake Lively embroiled in ANOTHER legal battle… new court drama after devastating Justin Baldoni ruling
In a recent development, Blake Lively’s hair care brand, Blake Brown, is embroiled in another legal dispute by filing a petition to remove a different trademark in the latest court documents.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’m compelled to share some intriguing news: Family Hive LLC, the proprietors behind the renowned brand Blake Brown (Lively), have taken legal action against Kimberlie Hamner, holder of the trademark ‘Beauty by Blake’. This exclusive report comes from The Daily Mail.
Family Hive, a company incorporated in Delaware, holds three trademark registrations linked to Blake Brown. These include one for his name itself, one for a beehive-like logo design, and another encompassing the logo with the added text.
The trademarks were all submitted for registration last year and are yet to be approved, even though the actress, who is 37 years old, introduced her brand’s initial products in Target stores this past summer.
As a lifestyle expert, let me share with you my journey: Last year, at the age of 27, I, a driven entrepreneur residing in Utah, submitted an application for my ‘Beauty by Blake’ trademark. This action was inspired by previous filings made by another professional named Blake Brown. The purpose behind this filing is to protect and establish my unique line of cosmetic oils and serums designed specifically for beauty applications.

On the 5th of June, two months following the publication of the ‘Beauty by Blake’ trademark in the official gazette during April, Family Hive submitted their opposition.
Based on documents acquired by The Daily Mail, Family Hive cited two reasons for their objection: ‘confusion with existing brands’ and the potential harm to their trademark named Blake Brown, suggesting possible damage could occur.
As a lifestyle expert, I’d like to express my perspective on this matter: In my professional opinion, the ‘Beauty by Blake’ trademark might lead people to mistakenly believe that the products offered by the applicant are associated with or endorsed by Family Hive. This confusion could potentially mislead consumers into thinking that there is a connection between the two parties, when in fact they may have no relationship at all. In other words, using a similar name for their beauty brand could give the impression of an endorsement or affiliation that simply does not exist.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I want to clarify that I have absolutely no affiliation or authorization from Family Hive regarding my work. No permissions or licenses were granted to me by Family Hive in any capacity.
The recent court document submission follows a setback in the legal dispute between Lively and her co-star from “It Ends With Us,” Justin Baldoni, who is 41 years old, that occurred this week in the courtroom.
In a surprising decision, a New York judge declared on Tuesday that the emotional distress claims made against the actor by the judge herself have been dismissed.

The decision was made following a series of heated exchanges between the parties. Baldoni’s side was trying to persuade Lively to disclose her medical records as evidence of her alleged emotional distress.
Lively’s legal group tried to exclude that specific point from their lawsuit, however, they left the door open for re-filing the claim in the future, since “without prejudice” implies no permanent bar on resubmitting it later.
In the end, the judge shut down that possibility.
In December, Lively initiated a major lawsuit against Baldoni, claiming sexual harassment. In response, Baldoni filed a counter-suit in January, accusing not only Lively but also her husband, Ryan Reynolds, of defamation. However, all parties involved have denied the accusations leveled against them.
Regardless of any ongoing legal issues, it seems that Lively has been diligently preparing to introduce new products for Blake Brown.
Under this brand’s label, you’ll find a diverse assortment of items such as hair styling products like texturizers and sprays, hair removal solutions, shaving foams, makeup, cosmetic products, body lotions, shower gels, aromatic home fragrances, and many other related items.
As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but rave about the expansive range of Blake’s Beauty cosmetics! From the iconic ‘cosmetic oils’, you’ll find an array of options that cater to various needs: hair oil for luscious locks, baby oils to soothe tender skin, face oils for a radiant complexion, essential oils for wellness, and aromatic oils to fill your space with delightful scents. Simply stunning!
In relation to Blake’s “serums for cosmetic purposes,” Blake Brown’s trademark indicates that these products encompass ‘non-medicated hair styling serums’ and ‘beauty serums.’
At the moment, Blake Brown offers products like shampoo, leave-in conditioner, hair masks, styling mousse, and hair and body sprays for sale.
Hamner has not yet responded to the lawsuit, but has until mid-July to respond.
The Daily Mail has reached out to Kimberlie Hamner for comment on this story.
