Blake Lively anointed NYC home office ‘Buckingham Palace’ in reference to the A-listers she and husband Ryan Reynolds hosted, Justin Baldoni says

Justin Baldoni shared that Blake Lively jokingly calls her New York City home office ‘Buckingham Palace’ because so many famous people visit it.

During a deposition on October 6, 2025, obtained by People magazine, the 41-year-old actor and director revealed that Justin Baldoni provided information related to the legal issues surrounding the film It Ends with Us.

According to Baldoni, Lively, age 38, and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, 49, jokingly called their New York City home ‘the palace’.

Baldoni explained that she jokingly referred to the building as ‘Buckingham Palace’ because so many famous people passed through its doors.

According to Baldoni, Lively preferred to work in the office while filming It Ends with Us, maintaining a professional environment.

Baldoni stated he believed that was Ms. Lively’s office, located in her penthouse, and that she had asked for all their meetings to be held there.

Daily Mail has reached out to reps for Baldoni and Lively for further comment on the story.

The case is slated to return to court for a January 22 hearing, with a May 18 trial date looming.

The recent updates in this case follow a year-long and ongoing legal dispute between Lively and Baldoni.

In December 2024, Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni, alleging sexual harassment, unfair retaliation, and causing intentional emotional distress.

The actress filed a lawsuit alleging that Baldoni sexually harassed her, which included making demeaning comments about her body, and then tried to ruin her career by spreading false information about her.

In her legal complaint, Lively identified several people who worked with Baldoni, such as his production company Wayfarer Studios, its CEO and primary investor, and the team handling publicity.

Baldoni first sought $250 million from The New York Times, alleging a published report damaged his reputation. He then combined this claim with a $400 million lawsuit he’d already filed in January.

The lawsuit, filed by Baldoni, accused Blake Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and her publicist Leslie Sloane, referencing the previously mentioned report. However, the case was dismissed in June, and all involved parties have denied any wrongdoing.

While ‘It Ends with Us’ was a box office success, earning $148 million domestically and $350 million worldwide, recent allegations involving the film’s actors have taken the focus away from its initial positive reception.

The film featured Jenny Slate, Hasan Minhaj, Brandon Sklenar, and Kevin McKidd, and was adapted from Colleen Hoover’s 2016 novel.

The movie’s story focused on the unhealthy and damaging relationship between Lily Bloom, portrayed by Blake Lively, and Ryle Kincaid, played by Justin Baldoni.

The movie follows Lily, who is trying to build a new life after a difficult childhood. She meets a neurosurgeon and they connect, but she soon discovers troubling similarities between him and her own parents.

Blake Lively gained recognition in 2005 with her role in the film The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, alongside Amber Tamblyn, Alexis Bledel, and America Ferrera.
