Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ ‘escape’ from Justin Baldoni legal war revealed

A friend and co-worker of Ryan Reynolds shared how he and his wife, Blake Lively, cope with their ongoing legal issues by spending time with Justin Baldoni.

Humphrey Ker, an actor and executive director for the Welsh soccer team Wrexham AFC—which is co-owned by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney—shared this information.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds manage to escape the constant media attention when they visit Wrexham to support the football team, according to Ker.

According to Ker, people love visiting Wrexham because locals don’t care about their celebrity status.

According to Ker, a former schoolmate of Prince William, people are primarily focused on whether the Prince will fund a new defender for the team. He expressed sympathy for their situation, describing it as a distraction from more important matters.

Ker noted in a recent Telegraph interview that Ryan and Blake have had a difficult 18 months due to recent challenges, and are still navigating the aftermath.

The Daily Mail has contacted a representative for Reynolds and Lively for comment.

Public attention comes and goes, but activity continues behind the scenes,” explained Ker, a member of the comedy group The Penny Dreadfuls.

I’m hearing some interesting developments regarding the legal battles happening in Hollywood. Just days after news broke that Blake Lively had a significant win in her sexual harassment lawsuit against Justin Baldoni, more information is coming to light from Ker. It seems like things are really unfolding now, and we’re getting a clearer picture of what’s been happening behind the scenes.

Legal documents obtained by the Daily Mail show a federal judge has ordered the producer of the movie ‘It Ends With Us,’ Jamey Heath, to hand over all video footage of his wife Natasha’s home birth. Actress Natasha Lyonne, 38, claims Heath unexpectedly played the footage for her while they were working on set.

Judge Lewis J. Liman issued a ruling on Monday in New York, ordering Heath to submit the birth video within three days. The ruling was detailed in a six-page document.

This decision follows Lively’s attempt to penalize Heath for not providing video footage she claims is crucial to her legal case.

Documents show Lively claims Heath approached her and her assistant on set and then played a clip featuring a completely nude woman in a sexually explicit position. Lively initially thought the clip was pornography.

Heath later told her the video depicted his wife giving birth, according to Lively’s complaint.

Heath claims he didn’t show Blake Lively any footage of the birth itself, only a video of them with their baby after it was born.

Judge Liman stated in the decision that Lively requested a court order requiring Heath to provide all video recordings of the birth, encompassing every version showing the delivery itself.

Heath opposed turning over anything beyond the short post-birth clip he admits showing her.

But the court disagreed with him.

Lively says she saw birth footage, but Heath denies it. Because of this disagreement, the judge believes the complete footage could prove Lively is telling the truth and disprove Heath’s version of events.

Judge Liman stated that since the court’s request for footage included more than just the video Heath said he showed Lively, all of the extra footage should have been turned over.

Okay, so the judge really made it clear: Blake Lively is demanding everything. I mean, anything even hinting at those awful claims – emails, texts, notes, anything at all – has to be handed over. And yes, that absolutely includes the actual birth footage itself! It’s like, they’re leaving no stone unturned, and honestly, good for her. She deserves to see everything related to this, no matter what it is.

Court documents show Lively claims Heath came up to her and her assistant while they were working and started playing a video of a nude woman on his device.

Lively says she immediately stopped him because she thought he was showing her pornography.

Heath then claimed it was footage of his wife giving birth.

The Wayfarer Parties, Heath, Wayfarer Studios, and Justin Baldoni, among others, strongly denied claims made by Lively. They accused her of falsely and deliberately suggesting she was shown pornographic or nude images of Heath’s wife while on set.

Lively insists she viewed a video depicting childbirth – or at the very least, one that started with graphic medical content she considered highly disturbing.

Judge Liman confirmed the videos are highly private and confidential, and legally protected from public release. An existing court order ensures they will remain private.

However, sensitivity alone was not enough to shield it from the discovery process.

The judge ordered Heath to provide the video footage within three days.

The judge partially approved and partially rejected the request, ruling in favor of Lively on the most important point: she has the right to view all versions of the video.

The Clerk of Court was directed to close the motion.

Someone familiar with the situation told the Daily Mail that this recent action is similar to what led to the negative public reaction Blake Lively received in August 2024.

As someone who observes trends and public reaction, I’ve been watching this situation unfold, and honestly, it’s been disheartening. Her choices have consistently missed the mark and, frankly, offended a lot of people – and rightfully so. As a woman myself, and someone who champions female empowerment, I believe we should hold all women accountable when they make decisions that are clearly out of touch and harmful. It’s not about tearing anyone down, but about expecting better and demanding respectful behavior.

Lively first raised the claim in initial court documents related to her lawsuit, which centers on the use of her work in the book It Ends With Us without her permission.

Honestly, the argument about the birth video has become one of the strangest and most fiercely debated parts of this whole situation. It’s really taken on a life of its own, and people are digging in on both sides. As someone who looks at how narratives unfold, it’s fascinating – and a little unsettling – to see how much focus is on this one piece of evidence.

Heath was removed from his position earlier this year and, in legal documents, admitted there were several videos of his wife giving birth. This led Lively to ask the court to make sure all of the videos were turned over.

Now that Heath has been legally required to hand over all materials, Lively’s lawyers will examine the footage. They’re trying to confirm if it shows disturbing birth scenes, as Lively insists, or if it’s the more gentle, family-focused footage Heath describes.

Last December, Lively filed a lawsuit accusing Baldoni, 41, his production company Wayfarer Studios, and others of sexual harassment, unfair retaliation, and causing intentional emotional distress while filming the movie adaptation of the Colleen Hoover novel.

Heath, who produced the film and leads Wayfarer Studios, was one of the people Blake Lively accused in her complaint filed in December. Everyone named in the complaint denies any wrongdoing.

In a now-closed legal case, Baldoni and Heath claimed Lively falsely and repeatedly insisted she was shown pornographic or nude pictures of Heath’s wife while they were filming.

According to them, Lively falsely and with harmful intent claimed that, during filming of the birth scene, Heath tried to show her a video at the director’s request. This video was meant to illustrate the director’s idea for how the scene should look.

It went on that the video ‘which ultimately was not shown to Lively…is by all accounts beautiful’.

The team maintained that despite Lively requesting to view the video after finishing her meal, she was initially shown only a single frame: a picture of Heath, his wife, and their newborn baby, taken shortly after the baby was born at home.

The lawsuit argues that labeling this photo – a beautiful moment with their newborn, shared with his wife for use in the Film – as a nude or pornographic image is deeply offensive.

Lively alleged that Heath came up to them and began showing a video of a naked woman in a sexually explicit position.

I was shocked to read the details of the complaint. Apparently, Ms. Lively believed Mr. Heath was intentionally showing her something inappropriate, and she immediately told him to stop. It turns out he was actually trying to share a video of his wife giving birth – a really difficult misunderstanding for everyone involved, I imagine.

Ms. Lively was surprised and asked Mr. Heath if his wife was aware he was showing the video. He responded that she wouldn’t mind, implying Ms. Lively was being unreasonable for questioning it.

Ms. Lively and her assistant were shocked when Mr. Heath showed them a pornographic video, and they quickly left the room.

Okay, so get this – in the lawsuit that got thrown out, those Wayfarer people actually admitted that Heath showed Blake the video of his own kid being born! They tried to say he did it because Baldoni told him to, as some kind of weird proof of Baldoni’s ‘vision’ for the birth scene in the movie! Like, Heath was supposed to show this deeply personal, intimate footage to convince Blake how her character, Lily, should give birth?! It’s just… everything about this is insane, and it proves how controlling Baldoni was! I’ve rewatched that scene a million times, and now it all makes so much more sense!

Oh my gosh, this whole thing is just… incredible! So, Blake Lively sued Justin Baldoni, claiming harassment, which he totally denies, of course. But get this – Justin countersued! He’s saying she defamed him, and he’s dragging Ryan Reynolds and her publicist, Leslie Sloane, into it too! Can you believe it? It’s a total mess, and I’m following every single detail! I just need to know what happens next!

He is suing The New York Times for $400 million, claiming they harmed his reputation by publishing a report about allegations of sexual harassment made by Olivia Lively during the filming of ‘It Ends With Us.’ He strongly denies the claims.

After his attempt to fight back failed in June, Baldoni was left as the sole defendant in Lively’s sexual harassment lawsuit.

Recent court documents, as reported by the Daily Mail last month, suggest the judge has dismissed his claims against Lively, Reynolds, and The Times.

Documents received by the Daily Mail indicate the Baldoni’s lawsuits against the three defendants have officially ended in district court with a final judgment.

The 41-year-old actor and director missed the deadline to revise his lawsuit. A judge had dismissed the original case in June and given him time to refile it, but he didn’t.

On Friday, Judge Lewis Liman stated in court that he had notified all parties involved on October 17th, letting them know he would be issuing a final ruling to close the case.

While ‘It Ends With Us’ was a box office success, earning $148 million in the US and $350 million worldwide, recent allegations involving the film’s actors have taken over the public conversation.

The film featured Jenny Slate, Hasan Minhaj, Brandon Sklenar, and Kevin McKidd, and was adapted from Colleen Hoover’s 2016 novel.

The movie’s story focused on the unhealthy and damaging relationship between Lily Bloom, portrayed by Blake Lively, and Ryle Kincaid, played by Justin Baldoni.

The Daily Mail has reached out to Lively and Baldoni’s representatives for comment.
