Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni have settled their legal issues, ending a public and escalating conflict that was scheduled to go to court in just a couple of weeks.
Lawyers for Blake Lively and Wayfarer Studios announced Monday that both sides have settled their legal dispute, bringing an end to a case that has been closely watched for over a year.

I was really following the lawsuit Blake Lively brought against Justin Baldoni, her co-star and the director of ‘It Ends With Us,’ and it’s a bummer to hear that the judge dismissed her claims of sexual harassment. It felt like a really important case everyone in Hollywood was watching, and now it’s been significantly scaled back. It’s disappointing to see things head this way, honestly.
The statement did not disclose the terms of the agreement.
A months-long and increasingly hostile disagreement over the making of the 2024 film “It Ends With Us” involved multiple lawsuits and public accusations, with each side presenting a very different version of events that happened during and after production.
In December 2024, Judy Lively filed a lawsuit against actor Benjamin Baldoni, his production company Wayfarer Studios, and others, claiming she experienced sexual harassment and retaliation while working on a film. Baldoni responded by denying the accusations and arguing in court that the situation had been misrepresented.
Last month, Judge Lewis Liman of the U.S. District Court largely rejected Lively’s lawsuit, including her claims of sexual harassment. This greatly reduced the scope of the case before the trial, which was set to start May 18th in New York.
The trial was primarily anticipated to revolve around accusations of retaliation, and it could have lasted up to three weeks. This posed a risk of harming the reputations of everyone involved.
It was not immediately clear whether the court had formally vacated the trial date.
