The latest trailer showed Letitia Wright as Shuri taking on the role of Black Panther. In it, she hints at having experienced significant loss before encountering the Fantastic Four from another universe. Shuri is anticipated to be a key character alongside the Fantastic Four in the film.

Letitia Wright has confirmed she will reprise her role as Shuri in the upcoming movie Avengers: Secret Wars, scheduled to start filming in June. In a December 2025 interview with Screen Rant, Wright explained that Secret Wars was the next project she needed to work on after completing Doomsday, which she described as a fantastic experience.

She described being involved as “a great honor,” and shared that she keeps the memory of Chadwick Boseman with her throughout the filmmaking process.
