Black Panther 3: MCU Movie Gets Exciting Release Date Update

Black Panther 3 has received an exciting release date update.

Although Marvel Studios hasn’t announced when it will be released, a third Black Panther movie is currently being made. Ryan Coogler, who directed the first two films – 2018’s Black Panther and 2022’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever – is directing this sequel as well.

What is the release date update for Black Panther 3?

According to The New York Times, Black Panther 3 is “expected to be released in 2028.”

Coogler said, “I’m so fired up about that movie, bro.”

Marvel Studios has scheduled four movies for release in 2028 – one each in February, May, November, and December – but hasn’t revealed what those films will be yet. They’re also working on several other projects, including a new X-Men movie directed by Jake Schreier, a follow-up to Fantastic Four, and the long-awaited Blade film. However, it’s uncertain whether all of these will actually come out in 2028.

Details about the next Black Panther movie are still scarce. While Letitia Wright is expected to return as Shuri, especially with her upcoming appearances in the Avengers films, it’s currently unknown whether other characters like Namor (Tenoch Huerta Mejía) and M’Baku (Winston Duke) will be featured.

Denzel Washington is likely to appear in Black Panther 3, though his role is currently unknown. He hinted at the possibility while promoting Gladiator II, and director Ryan Coogler has since confirmed the news.

In a recent interview with Deadline’s Mike Fleming Jr., Ryan Coogler confirmed that he’s planning a third Black Panther movie after completing his current project, Sinners. He jokingly said he’d normally avoid answering such questions, but then revealed, “We’re working on it hard… Yeah, it’s the next movie.”
