What to Read Next
Initially, we have ‘Common People’, a story revolving around Amanda (played by Rashida Jones), a schoolteacher who finds herself in a critical situation. Her spouse, Mike (Chris O’Dowd), acts out of necessity and enrolls her in an advanced technological setup, potentially offering life-saving benefits. However, the use of this cutting-edge resource will carry its own financial burden.
The sequel, titled ‘Bête Noire’, focuses on character Maria (played by Siena Kelly), a star in the confectionery world, who becomes unsettled when her old school friend Verity (portrayed by Rosy McEwen) enters her company. While others find Verity peculiar, it’s only Maria who seems to have a problem with the new hire.
In the third installment of ‘Hotel Reverie’, we follow the thrilling tale of Brandy Friday (portrayed by Rae), a renowned Hollywood actress, whose life takes an unexpected turn as she embarks on the production of a cutting-edge and exceptionally engaging remake of an old British movie.
In the fourth episode titled ‘Plaything’, we find Lewis Gribben and Capaldi portraying similar characters against the setting of a slightly futuristic London. An intriguing connection is drawn between a peculiar murder suspect and an uncommon 90’s video game, offering a unique backdrop for the narrative.
Up next for me is the intriguing duet titled ‘Eulogy’, featuring Paul Giamatti and Patsy Ferran. This captivating tale revolves around an individual, like myself, who finds himself in isolation, yet to be introduced to a revolutionary technology that allows us to literally step into old photos. The system is groundbreaking, to say the least!
The closing segment, titled ‘USS Callister: Into Infinity’, functions as a continuation of the season four premiere ‘USS Callister’. It centers around Captain Nanette Cole (portrayed by Cristin Milioti) and her team, who find themselves trapped in a digital world, struggling for existence against 30 million competitors in an intense battle royale scenario.
‘Running for 88 minutes, ‘USS Callister: Into Infinity’ stars Jimmi Simpson, Billy Magnussen, Osy Ikhile, Milanka Brooks, and Paul G Raymond. The screenplay was co-written by Brooker along with Bisha K Ali, William Bridges, and Bekka Bowling.’
Black Mirror season 7 airs on Netflix from April 10.
