Garena has made an announcement that their turn-based role-playing game, “Black Clover M: Rise of The Wizard King”, will be shut down. This closure is scheduled for August 21, 2025, worldwide, with Japan experiencing it a day earlier on August 20, 2025.

The game was initially unveiled at Jump Fest 2022, having originally been released back in December 2023, following a closed beta test in November 2022. Pre-downloads for the game were made available in Japan and South Korea by May 2023, with a soft launch scheduled for Canada in August 2023.

For those who may not be familiar, “Black Clover M: Rise of the Wizard King” is an adventure role-playing game (RPG) with a turn-based system. It’s inspired by the widely known Black Clover anime and manga series created by Yūki Tabata. Sadly, it was announced that the Black Clover M game will cease operation on August 21, 2025, worldwide. The developers and team explained their decision as being necessary given the current circumstances, stating, “Given our operational situation, we believe ending the service is the best choice.” They held numerous discussions aiming to enhance the service.

Get excited for the upcoming finale, due on June 26th, which will feature content influenced by the enchanting animated film, “Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King,” as well as a unique in-game event and the arrival of two crucial mages to bolster your ranks.

Use any remaining items until EOS, and request a transfer of unused premium Black Crystals

After the recent announcement, they’ve temporarily halted purchase options and new user registrations. But don’t worry, any items you currently possess can still be utilized until the game officially closes in Japan on August 20, and worldwide on August 21, 2025.

If you have unused Premium Black Crystals, you’ll be delighted to know that you can transfer them to a chosen Garena mobile game through the Customer Service support page from August 21 to September 25, 2025. For further information about this process, please visit their official website.

It’s disheartening to witness yet another gacha game derived from an adored IP shut down prematurely, given the immense affection many fans had for it. On one hand, some players are expressing their dissatisfaction due to the scarcity of fresh content, recurring events, and meager rewards and in-game currency.
