The game, which was first unveiled at Jump Fest 2022, initially went live in December 2023 following a closed beta test in November 2022. Pre-downloads of the game were made accessible in Japan and South Korea by May 2023, while a soft launch took place in Canada as early as August 2023.

Black Clover M: Rise of the Wizard King is shutting down due to the devs’ current operational challenges

For those who may not be familiar, “Black Clover M: Ascent of the Sorcerer King” is an engaging turn-based RPG set within the universe of Black Clover, the well-known anime and manga series created by Yūki Tabata. This game provides an opportunity for players to revisit the original narrative, call upon their beloved characters, and construct a team as they strive towards becoming the Sorcerer King.

Regrettably, it has been announced that Black Clover M Team will cease operation of their game on August 21, 2025, worldwide. They explained, “Given our current operational circumstances, we believe this decision is in the best interest of all parties involved.” The team and developers have held numerous meetings to try and enhance the service but ultimately decided otherwise.

Get excited! The last update is set for June 26th, and it’s packed with content reminiscent of the hit animated film, Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King. This release also includes a special event and the addition of two significant mages to the game.

You can use any remaining items until EOS, and request a transfer of unused premium Black Crystals

After the recent announcement, no further purchases or new accounts will be allowed. But don’t worry! You can continue to use any items you currently have until the game is officially closed in Japan on August 20, and worldwide on August 21, 2025.

If you still have some Premium Black Crystals left, here’s a piece of positive news! During the period from August 21 to September 25, 2025, you will be allowed to move these crystals over to a selected Garena mobile game through the Customer Service support page. For comprehensive details regarding this transfer process, kindly visit their official website.

It’s unfortunate to witness yet another Gacha game based on a cherished IP close down prematurely, given the strong fan base it had. On one hand, some players are voicing their disappointment due to a dearth of fresh content, repetitive activities, and unimpressive rewards and currency. Conversely, others remain optimistic about a well-crafted Black Clover RPG coming soon.
