Glohow Holdings Pte. Ltd. has announced that their sci-fi action RPG, Black Beacon, is no longer receiving updates for mobile players in China. The game, which initially launched in open beta in April 2025, also shut down its servers worldwide earlier than expected because of operational issues.

A farewell to new updates in CN server following the global shutdown

Black Beacon was a sci-fi action RPG with a compelling story and a richly detailed world. Players took on the role of an Outlander, embarking on adventures with charming characters and participating in exciting combat. Despite its promise, the game received significant negative feedback and was eventually shut down.

The team behind Black Beacon Project has announced they will no longer be updating the game in China. They stated this decision was made after careful thought, and yesterday’s update was the final one players will receive.

Servers will remain active with rerun events and gratitude rewards

Fortunately, even though new content won’t be added, the game servers will stay online, so you can still enjoy everything that’s currently available. Plus, the team plans to keep running the Rerun Search event, which will refresh every 30 days.

As a thank you, you’ll receive 10 Time Seeking Keys and 10 Large Celestial Fruits each time the game is updated. This is a much better solution than having the game completely shut down, which players worldwide previously experienced. Additionally, the developers are giving away 70 Time-Seeking Keys, 50 Time-Lost Keys, and a pack to choose your first 5-star character.
