Both the Second Ability and Basic Attacks help to build the charge for the Ultimate. After utilizing the Ultimate, the cycle resumes from the beginning.

Certain enhancements can quicken this procedure significantly or even bypass certain steps altogether, making it essential to discern not only who to improve, but which abilities should be prioritized first. As you engage in combat, every action contributes to a Combo Burst gauge. Once full, your character enters Burst Mode, enabling them to utilize their First and Second Skills without the need to accumulate Vigor.

Some improvements can speed up or skip parts of this process, so it’s important to know who to improve and which abilities should be prioritized first. A perfectly timed “Perfect Evasion” provides a short period of invincibility, allowing you to charge into enemies and attack while they’re clustered together.

Before you begin, you’ll have a choice between top-down perspective and free mode. I suggest starting with top-down as it makes camera handling simpler. However, do not forget to experiment with free mode later for exploration purposes. Some parts of the game may need you to adjust the camera angle, so practice switching between the two. Additionally, if the default control settings seem awkward, feel free to reassign your basic attack function to a more comfortable key or button.

Character Roles and Abilities

Characters fall into three main classes:

  • Destruction (your main DPS)

At the end of the duration, the enemy takes massive damage again (if the enemy’s remaining HP is lower than this damage, the effect triggers immediately).
  • Water: Deals Water elemental damage with each attack, applying Water elemental anomalies to the enemy. Once the anomaly reaches its cap, the enemy takes additional damage and enters a Stasis state, briefly freezing them.
  • Fire: Deals Fire elemental damage with each attack, applying Fire elemental anomalies to the enemy. Once the anomaly reaches its cap, the enemy takes additional damage and enters a Burn state, taking fixed damage over time.
  • Thunder: Deals Thunder elemental damage with each attack, applying Thunder elemental anomalies to the enemy. Once the anomaly reaches its cap, the enemy takes additional damage and enters a Thunderclap state, suffering extra thunder strikes whenever hit.
  • Dark: Deals Dark elemental damage with each attack, applying Dark elemental anomalies to the enemy. Once the anomaly reaches its cap, the enemy takes additional damage and enters a Dark Corrosion state. At the end of the duration, the enemy takes damage based on the total damage received while in the state (if the enemy’s remaining HP is lower than this damage, the effect triggers immediately).

In this game, you’ll begin with three initial characters: Zero, Shamash, and Ninsar. If you upgrade Shamash, he makes a good starting damage dealer. On the other hand, Zero and Ninsar function well as supportive roles. As a guide for new players in Black Beacon, we advise focusing on leveling up this free trio. The Gacha System (Retrieval Pool)

Infinite Multiverse Mode

Accessible following Chapter 4-19, this survival setting challenges your group with an endless barrage of enemies. The experience is divided into two main segments:

  • Preparation Area: Clear the initial stages to qualify.
  • Battle Zone: The real challenge is where you fight consecutive battles to earn Stars.

Obtaining a greater number of stars yields an increase in Rune Shards, and these rewards are refreshed every fortnight. Thus, it serves as the most consistent source of gacha currency during the endgame phase.

Expert Tip: Assemble a balanced team (a tank, a healer, and damage dealers) instead of focusing solely on high damage output – survivability is more crucial than speed in this scenario.

Black Beacon Beginners Guide: Tips and Tricks

1. Raise your Seer Level to unlock features

Increasing your Expert Rank is the secret to accessing all available features, stronger character choices, and better prizes. A higher rank means more benefits, including additional features, robust characters, and superior rewards. To advance at a rapid pace, consider these quick methods:

1. Regularly participate in quests and challenges to earn points.
2. Complete daily tasks for bonus experience points.
3. Collaborate with other players to level up faster through teamwork and synergy.
4. Upgrade your character skills and equipment to maximize your potential.
5. Stay connected and engaged within the gaming community to learn tips and tricks from experienced players.

  • Main Story Quests – These give you Rune Shards (the premium currency for pulling characters), Seer XP, and materials for upgrades. Push through as much as you can early on.
  • Resource Stages – When the story gets too tough, these let you farm character XP, weapon materials, and Aurelium (used for upgrades).
  • Daily and Weekly Quests – These are effortless XP. No stamina needed—just complete the tasks and claim the rewards.
  • Events – Always check limited-time events like Wall Shadow Sightings, which shower you with XP, free pulls, and even a free costume for Florence.

2. Manage your Stamina and Resource Management

Since your stamina is limited, avoid squandering it on seemingly cool characters without a strategic plan. Instead, prioritize improving characters and their abilities over upgrading equipment. Keep in mind that the story might compel you to utilize certain characters, so don’t rush into building a single team right away.

  • Focus on a core team of 4-5 characters (2 DPS, 1 support, 1 healer/utility).
  • Upgrade weapons and skills—these make a massive difference in power.

3. Farm up Pulls with the Vision Expansion

In the beginning, this key event stands out as crucial. Every five character levels you attain, you’ll receive a set of five complimentary attempts or pulls. Once you reach level fifteen, every subsequent ten levels will grant you an additional ten pulls. In total, this amounts to fifty free attempts.

Including an extra 1,500 Rune Shards (equivalent to 10 more draws) and 9 Stamina Fruits will almost guarantee a complete pity on the standard banner, primarily for leveling up purposes.
