Binky Felstead is called out by ANOTHER bakery owner who claims she was ghosted by the reality star after making her wedding and birthday cake for free – and says she even refused to pay for her travel

Another baker is accusing Binky Felstead of ignoring her after providing a free wedding and birthday cake. The baker claims Binky stopped responding after receiving the cakes.

Reshmi Bennett, the 42-year-old owner of London-based luxury cake shop Anges de Sucre, recently shared on social media that Binky Felstead’s team asked her to create a cake for her son Wilder’s third birthday. In return, they offered her a post on Instagram.

Another bakery owner has come forward, sharing a similar story about receiving a request for a free cake from the Made In Chelsea star.

Oh my god, you will NOT believe this! The owner of Funfetti London just spilled everything! Apparently, Binky messaged her way back in 2021 wanting her to bake both her wedding and birthday cakes. But get this – she didn’t offer to pay! She wanted to trade posts on Instagram and a little shout-out in her Hello! magazine wedding feature! Can you even imagine?! It’s just… shocking to me that someone would even ask that. I’m absolutely fuming on behalf of the baker, honestly!

The baker says she created the custom cakes as requested, and Binky agreed to follow up and mention her work on social media. However, the baker claims Binky stopped responding to her messages after that, despite repeated attempts to get in touch over several months.

She said that when she requested £75 from Binky to cover travel costs for delivering the cakes, Binky declined, stating she preferred a flat fee. Binky explained she typically charges £2,000 for a story and £5,000 for a post on social media.

The baker responded to Reshmi’s popular post, exclaiming, ‘RESHMIIIIII I WANT TO SCREAM!’ and admitting they were fooled by Binky Felstead in 2021.

I received a message on Instagram from someone who loved my cakes. She was getting married and wanted me to make both her wedding cake and a birthday cake for her daughter.

Back then, my cake business was just something I did on the side. I was really surprised and pleased, and I started to think this could be a big chance to expand.

Oh my gosh, she actually took my number! And then called, like, immediately! It was all compliments – ‘I love this one,’ ‘that’s stunning,’ just… amazing. We talked for ages about designs, bouncing ideas around. I was so thrilled! Looking back now, I totally see she was angling for a free piece in exchange for, you know, ‘exposure.’ But I was young and just so eager to please, I didn’t really clock it at the time.

She continued: ‘All I asked was for travel: £25 for the birthday cake and £50 for the wedding cake.

She typically charges £2,000 for a story and £5,000 for a post on her social media grid, and she’d prefer a package deal covering everything.

Despite my reservations, I was enticed by the possibility of publicity – things like being mentioned in articles or even featured in Hello! magazine – so I said yes. I took a day off work and spent a hot summer day at her house, baking and assembling a complete wedding cake in her kitchen, all without getting paid.

I even started to question if the florist, decorators, and caterers were just doing everything for free publicity… I definitely trusted people too much back in 2021.

The baker ended the post by saying that after he delivered the item, the customer thanked him, told him she loved it, and said her team would contact him. But she never did. He followed up in July and again in October, but still received no response.

I finally heard back – they said they didn’t realize they had my request and will get the Hello images and my invoice sorted out.

I tried it, and it completely failed. It was a big learning experience. Now, just hearing her name makes me uncomfortable. Getting attention doesn’t put food on the table, that’s for sure.

The Daily Mail has contacted Binky’s representatives for comment on the new claim.

Baker Reshmi recently shared screenshots on Instagram of a request from Binky’s team. They asked her to create a custom birthday cake for free, offering only publicity as payment. The post has since gone viral.

Reshmi, a baker, has often publicly expressed her frustration with influencers who ask for free cakes. She frequently posts on social media stating that she doesn’t accept ‘exposure’ in lieu of payment.

It appears Binky didn’t receive the message, because her assistant requested Reshmi bake a cake for her son Wilder’s third birthday.

On Thursday, Reshmi posted screenshots to Instagram revealing that Binky’s representatives had asked for a free yellow train-shaped cake in exchange for a promotional post on Instagram.

Oh my gosh, you won’t BELIEVE what this amazing fan, Reshmi, did! She was so inspired by Binky – who has, like, a MILLION followers online – that she created this hilarious fake GoFundMe page! It was asking for £1.4 million… for the cake! Can you even imagine?! Apparently, that’s also around how much Binky is worth! It’s just… perfect. Reshmi totally gets it, she gets Binky!

At first, Reshmi hid Binky’s name in the screenshots of the emails she shared. However, she later revealed Binky’s identity in a subsequent post.

Okay, so I’ve been following Binky for ages, and apparently her assistant just casually reached out to a bakery – the Daily Mail reported it! – basically offering them a shout-out on social media if they’d just send a birthday cake. Can you believe it? It’s just… so Binky! It’s like, a totally normal request from her team, but I’m living for it. A cake for exposure? Iconic!

Binky wasn’t part of these email conversations and is currently on vacation with family. We understand this kind of teamwork isn’t suitable for everyone and appreciate your decision to opt out.

As a lifestyle professional, I was a little disheartened to see a private conversation made public. Honestly, these kinds of agreements – where both parties benefit – are super common in my world. It’s usually a win-win situation, and it’s a shame when that trust is broken.

Okay, so I was trying to order a cake from Reshmi – a yellow train cake, it HAD to be a yellow train! – and I might have gotten a little carried away in my message. I was also hoping she’d work with this AMAZING influencer I know, they have 1.4 million followers on Instagram, seriously! I just thought it would be a perfect match, you know? I was so excited about the whole thing!

Reshmi explained she attempted to turn the inquiry into a sale by asking the client for their budget, postcode, and any relevant images.

Binky’s team responded, asking if we’d be interested in a collaboration. They proposed gifting the cake in exchange for a post about it on [redacted]’s Instagram account.

Instead of reacting with attitude, which Reshmi admitted would be her usual style, she calmly told Binky she was disappointed and pointed out Binky’s financial resources, suggesting Binky should cover the cost.

Binky’s team acknowledged Reshmi’s concerns about how things looked and said they would discuss payment with the star before getting back to her.

Reshmi then shared screenshots of their conversation on Instagram.

After seeing her post, Binky’s team sent her a disappointed email, clarifying that their intention was never simply to get a free cake.

Binky often shares content about her children on Instagram, which is very popular with her followers. This can be great for businesses because it introduces their products or services to a wider audience they might not normally connect with.

Binky’s team ended the email by apologizing for reaching out, explaining that they understood this type of collaboration wasn’t welcome, and assuring them they didn’t intend to cause any offense.

After getting feedback from Binky’s team, Reshmi launched a GoFundMe page featuring a yellow train cake designed with the help of AI to look like something from the show Made In Chelsea.

She shared that they recently made a special cake for Binky Felstead’s son, who is turning three. The cake was designed to look like a yellow train.

We were really excited about the order! We love making cakes for kids, and this one – for a well-known TV personality, no less – sounded like a lot of fun. There was just one little problem, though: they wanted to pay us with an Instagram story.

We realize things are difficult right now, particularly for those who rely on sponsored content. It’s possible Binky unexpectedly had to change her plans for a sponsored trip to Dubai and quickly travel to the US to be with family for Easter, which was likely very stressful.

We felt better knowing she has 1.4 million followers who actively interact with her content, particularly posts including her children. However, we’re aware the internet isn’t always safe, despite appearances.

Our energy company is a bit old-school and still requires payment with real money. We tried offering social media exposure instead, but they don’t accept Instagram tags as payment.

We’re hoping to get Binky’s 1.4 million followers involved in a fun project! If everyone donated just £1, we could make an amazing yellow train cake and cover our energy bills at the same time.
