Binky Felstead admits she ‘freaked out’ over post-birth health issue as she details ‘not so glamorous’ side of pregnancy

Binky Felstead from Made In Chelsea shared that a health problem after giving birth had her extremely worried, as she thought she might lose her teeth.

Recently, the reality television personality, aged 35, received a diagnosis of advanced gum disease. This condition had started to deteriorate her bones significantly and required immediate medical intervention.

Binky is a proud mum-of-three and last gave birth in 2023 to a son named Wilder, who is now one.

In my personal life, I am blessed to share my days with not one but three wonderful children. My little bundle of joy, Wolfie, is only three, while my older child, India, turns eight this year. I have the privilege of co-parenting India with my ex, Josh ‘JP’ Patterson, and Max Darnton and I are enjoying every moment with our adorable toddler, Wolfie.

As a devoted follower, I couldn’t help but be moved when Binky bravely chose to reveal her personal journey on Instagram, aiming to educate and inspire fellow moms everywhere.

She shared with The Sun, “I was genuinely concerned and discovered it mainly through social media. Incidentally, I received numerous messages from fellow parents and women, expressing that they too experienced the same issue.

It’s an old saying that having children causes you to lose one tooth for each child. However, I must admit I’m quite concerned because if this is true, I won’t have any teeth left in ten years!

She mentioned that there are numerous, less-than-glamorous occurrences that take place following childbirth and raising a family.

Binky said she has started having to do her greys, admitting that ‘the good outweighs the bad’.

She mentioned that discussing such topics on social media helps make them more accepted, and finding out they’re widely talked about made her feel much more comfortable with it.

Eight years after leaving MIC, Binky says she is ‘kind of getting her MOJO back’.

Binky is super relatable online with her fans, and always keeps it real.

Lately, she admitted something quite shocking – she hadn’t cleaned her makeup brush in ten years – during a video where they were both getting a makeover as mother and daughter.

In a creative display, India applied bronzer and lip liner to her mother using a pencil.

In the video, Binky admitted, “Have you met your godfather, Oliver Locke? This makeup brush of his is over a decade old, and I haven’t cleaned it since then. Isn’t that disgusting, and yet I still continue to use it?

Despite the disclosure, India remained unfazed and kept applying the bronzer. It wasn’t until the television personality convinced her that she stopped.

Binky’s life is significantly enriched by motherhood, and together with her spouse, Max, they seem to embody the ideal storybook family.

In January 2019, she began a relationship with Max Fredrik Darnton, whom she had met at Soho Farmhouse earlier. They tied the knot in September 2021 following their union.
