Bindi Irwin speaks out after 47 helpless microbats were killed in 'deliberately lit' fire: 'Deeply saddened'

As a devoted fan with years of following Bindi Irwin’s captivating journey, I cannot help but be moved by her unwavering dedication to wildlife conservation. The heartbreaking incident involving the 47 bats is a stark reminder of the challenges our precious creatures face in their natural habitats. Bindi’s relentless efforts to bring justice for these helpless animals are truly commendable, and I stand in solidarity with her.

Bindi Irwin expressed sadness, referring to the pain she felt, following the tragic death of 47 bats due to a fire that was intentionally set.

A wildlife group rescued the surviving animals from Dularcha Railway Tunnel in Mooloolah Valley, Queensland, before they were taken to the Irwin family’s Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital in Beerwah.

The tiny animals were suffering from ‘severe burns and toxic fume inhalation’.

Bindi expresses profound sorrow upon learning that innocent microbats were deliberately hurt in their natural habitat, as she shared in a statement given to news.com.au.

‘It is heartbreaking to see these animals suffer in their home, and we hope that we can bring them justice through our partnership with Crime Stoppers Queensland.’

Most of the animals had already died, with several more euthanised onsite when it was deemed they could not survive their burns.

Dr. Ludo Valenza, an Australian Wildlife Hospital veterinarian, expressed deep sorrow in a statement, saying it’s heartbreakingly tragic to observe such deliberate damage being done to wildlife.

Her latest Instagram post sparked accusations from fans that she had used Photoshop, leading her to respond and clarify the situation.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I recently found myself sharing a heartwarming collection of images on my social media platform – these were none other than moments captured with a delightful red panda cuddled up in the arms of my three-year-old darling, Grace. This special encounter happened just a few days ago.

In a second image, the animal is seen standing on Bindi while she sits near her young daughter.

Here’s Teddy, the adorable red panda who adores snacking! I hope you get a chance to encounter him during your future visit to Australia Zoo, as Bindi put it in her post. #AustraliaZooAdventure

To set the record straight, I must clarify that there seemed to be speculation among some fans about whether a photo of me (Teddy) with Bindi might have been manipulated to make it seem like I was perched on her lap. But rest assured, no such alterations were made – it’s just the magic of angles and poses!

‘Pretty sure that’s a Photoshop image….’ one follower commented on the post.

One person remarked, “He seems like he was added using a photo editing tool in the second image!” Another commented, “It appears almost unreal or manipulated.”

Other fans questioned the size of the panda and whether he had been enlarged.

The debate grew so heated that Bindi was forced to address the speculation in the comments section.

‘I think it’s so funny how some people think that our sweet red panda was Photoshopped,’ she wrote.

‘I can tell you with absolute certainty that these photos are 100% real (thank you @kateberryphotography for taking such beautiful pictures) and Teddy is in no way Photoshopped.’

Bindi didn’t appear too fussed by the comments, gently ribbing Teddy’s detractors.

‘I wish you an amazing day! By the way, I’m always going to share authentic wildlife experiences with you. That’s just what I do…’. She finished off with a golden-heart emoji.

Some supporters came to her defense, with one commenting: “There’s no reason they would alter their own image with an animal like that; it’s just not something you’d do at a zoo.”

‘We saw Teddy yesterday and he was the sweetest lil’ thing,’ another said.

Bindi also posted video clips of the encounter with Teddy, putting to rest any further speculation.

‘Teddy clearly loves his treats! I find it crucial to showcase wildlife and inspire others to participate in conservation efforts, caring for, and respecting our natural environment. Moreover, witnessing Grace’s happiness as we interact with the adorable red panda warms my heart immensely.’ (She posted this short video.)
