Billy Ray Cyrus’ Heartfelt Message: A Call for Healing Amid Family Turmoil

Billy Ray Cyrus has finally spoken out, sharing a heartfelt statement following the turbulent 2024 divorce proceedings with Firerose, and addressing the worries expressed by his son Trace.

36-year-old Firerose shared that she had been praying daily for the country singer since his contentious performance at the Trump inauguration ceremonies, whereas Trace, age 35, made a heartfelt appeal to the public for his father to seek assistance.

63-year-old Billy Ray Cyrus, known for “Achy Breaky Heart,” had a shaky stage appearance at the Liberty Ball recently, leading event organizers to cut off his audio and lighting equipment.

The singer was left to wander around the stage in an apparent state of confusion. 

On Tuesdays, Billy Ray shared a snippet from his 2009 song “Somebody Said A Prayer” video on YouTube Shorts.

Born to different parents but raised by Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus-Purcell, Trace Cyrus is the biological son who appeared in the music video as well.

Since then, it’s been disclosed that the man’s father has warned him about potential lawsuits after his appeals for his father to acknowledge his need for assistance.

On Saturday, Trace openly discussed an issue in a post on Instagram, specifically addressing his father who is 63 years old with a direct message.

‘Dad my message was beyond loving,’ the Dark Road singer began. 

He mentioned that he could have shared much more truth but chose not to expose your business in such a way, instead writing, ‘However, your reaction of threatening me with a lawsuit for advocating for your well-being is utterly shameful.’

Trace went on to say, “I believe your grandpa from his father’s side is watching over you right now, feeling deeply let down by what you’ve done. You ought to feel embarrassed.

I will always cherish my love for you, but I can no longer admire you as a man. Those around you find it frightening to express their true feelings. However, I am not one of them. I believe it’s crucial that you seek help.” He then tagged his father in the message.

The main idea remains the same, but the tone and language have been adjusted for clarity and natural flow.

In the comments section, Trace requested his followers to share uplifting messages for his father. I believe the strong-willed individual we all knew is still present within him. Let’s work together to help him recover and return to us. 💛

On his Instagram Stories, Trace shared two nostalgic pictures, one labeled ‘Father’s Day 2022’. The Prescriptions artist posted a snapshot of him and his father strolling through a meadow.

‘I’d say this was the last good day I had with my dad,’ he wrote.

Another photo captures Billy Ray receiving a vaccination while sporting a black t-shirt bearing the message, ‘Jesus is My Strengthener.’

Or, more casually:

Another picture finds Billy Ray getting his shot dressed in a black tee with the phrase, ‘Jesus is My Shot in the Arm.’

‘Ohhh the irony,’ Trace wrote across the picture.

As for those of you inquiring, I must clarify that I have not received any communication from my father yet. However, I was informed by a relative that he has decided to take legal action against me due to my efforts in urging him to seek assistance.

‘Dad I live 30 minutes away from your. You could’ve just come & talked to me like a man.’

During Kyle & Jackie O’s radio show on Tuesday, Firerose disclosed that the unusual inaugural performance by Billy Ray mirrored her personal encounters with the country star.

To be frank, the things I’ve been going through privately for many years closely resemble what the public is witnessing today,” she explained.

‘I’m extremely grateful to God for getting me out of that situation.’

When Kyle Sandilands inquired whether Billy Ray had undergone a significant decline in reputation, FireRose firmly reinforced her opinion regarding her former partner.

She stated, “What’s visible to all of you is clearly reflecting the state of things. I believe everyone should rely on their own observations.

‘And it’s a very sad situation, honestly. I tried with all my soul to help him for years.’

Back in 2010 when they first met, Firerose didn’t imagine that her relationship with Billy Ray would turn out to be as contentious as it has become.

In 2010, when I was 22, we first crossed paths on the Hannah Montana set. I had just completed an audition, and that’s where our friendship began.

To be honest, I wouldn’t have thought, given the passage of time, how everything has unfolded as it did.

Firerose said that she wished nothing but the best for Billy Ray. 

‘I wish him all the best. I prayed for him every day,’ she said.

I sincerely hope that he discovers the divine grace through faith. If only he could find a connection with Jesus, I am confident that he will find a path to redemption and renewal.

Last week, Firerose shared her feelings with Page Six, expressing that she was relieved to see the truth being revealed.

‘It’s very sad to see those same struggles continue for him,’ she said.

I’m relieved that the truth is being revealed – it’s beneficial because healing can occur when we face the truth and acknowledge there’s an issue.

As for myself, I continue to prioritize my religious beliefs, my music, my personal growth through healing, and sharing my experiences to inspire others with resilience and optimism.

In August 2024, the singer from Sydney who was married to Billy Ray called it quits on their union, having been wed for just seven months.

Before they got married, the pair had been a couple for four years. During the process of their separation, each one accused the other of instances of abuse.

Billy’s child, Trace (who is brother to Miley, Brandi, and Noah), composed an extensive public letter after his father’s disorganized performance at the inauguration event.

Regrettably, the person I once deeply admired and aspired to emulate bears little resemblance to him now. It appears as if life’s hardships have taken their toll on him, and though others can see it, he himself seems oblivious.

Trace was correct when he wrote, ‘You may be upset with me for posting this.’

He expressed that he no longer feels much concern at this stage, and further mentioned that he and his sisters, including popular singer Miley Cyrus and indie rocker daughter Noah Cyrus, have been genuinely concerned about him for several years, but he has distanced himself from all of them.

In the year 2022, Billy Ray and Tish finalized their divorce, and just a year later, in 2023, he tied the knot with Australian singer-songwriter Johanna Rosie Hodges (professionally known as Firerose).

Their union didn’t last long and allegedly was filled with turbulence. In legal documents prior to their separation a year later, both parties implicated each other for alleged emotional, verbal, and psychological mistreatment.
