While on vacation in Italy, Billy Magnussen filmed his proposal to Erica Firestone, making sure to capture every special moment.
The 40-year-old actor, who appears alongside Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell in the new film *A Big Bold Beautiful Journey*, posted a video on Sunday showing him proposing on a beach in Sardinia.
The actor known for Lilo & Stitch was flying a drone while wearing a white guayabera shirt and black swim trunks. He then let Firestone take over controlling it.
The photographer was so distracted that he didn’t realize he was reaching into his pocket and kneeling down.
Firestone was holding the drone’s controls and leaned in to kiss him, accepting his proposal which included a large emerald-cut diamond ring.
Firestone shared the post, tagging her fiancé, and added a sweet message: ‘anywhere with you is home.’
She used the hashtag #fidanzati, the Italian word for an engaged couple.
According to reports, the two first connected through friends and were seen on vacation together in Jamaica in January. They were joined by actress Zosia Mamet, 37, and her husband, Evan Jonigkeit, 42.
In October 2024, photos surfaced on social media confirming a relationship between Firestone and Magnussen, first appearing at the premiere of The Franchise.
Family and friends shared their congratulations and best wishes for the couple’s happy future after the announcement.
“So cute! Piglet is trying on dresses for a flower girl,” shared Anne Hollister, who works with Magnussen’s Happy Bad Bungalow.
‘Congrats!! Welcome to the fam, Billy,!’ wrote Joanna Firestone.
Another family member shared their congratulations, writing, “Great job everyone! The ring is beautiful, and she is too!”
Jonigkeit jokingly tweeted that the wedding better have playing cards and a pool table, tagging Erica Firestone and adding, ‘I’m coming for you!’

Firestone was clearly excited about her engagement ring and shared lots of pictures of it, even capturing a photo from a drone while she and her partner relaxed on the beach.
She later showed it off in a selfie in the elevator as they prepared to go to a celebratory dinner.
A Big Bold Beautiful Journey will open in theaters on Friday.
Magnussen has also signed to work on The Chariot, being produced via Happy Bad Bungalow.
The talented actor is also involved in a new TV show called The Audacity, which stars Zach Galifianakis and is set in Silicon Valley.
The show is expected to debut in 2026.
