Billy Joel’s Shocking Onstage Fall Before Surgery Reveal
Approximately two months ago, Billy Joel experienced a significant fall on stage, which eventually led to the postponement of his ongoing tour due to health-related concerns.
On Tuesday, the legendary musician, now aged 75, announced that his upcoming tour has been moved to the next four months due to a recent surgical procedure he underwent.
Approximately two months prior, during a performance at the Mohegan Sun resort in Monteville, Connecticut on February 22nd, Joel showed signs of distress when he fell to the ground.
The star was singing It’s Still Rock and Roll To Me when he began spinning his microphone stand.
When the song concluded, Joel tossed the gear off the stage in haste, only to find himself tumbling down instead.
Joel’s right arm jerked back before he dropped onto the floor.

In my perspective, although Joel’s recent declaration didn’t disclose the specific surgical intervention or health complications he is facing, various social media enthusiasts have speculated that his recent fall might be connected to his present health predicament.
Were his recent fall a few weeks back connected to this at all? Stay safe, Billy!
‘Did he break something when he took a spill on stage?’ another asked.
On Reddit, someone wrote: “I’m hoping he’s alright. I can’t help but wonder what might have occurred.” This led another user to speculate that his recent fall could possibly be a factor.
The original poster expressed concern that it could be connected to a fall, despite his attempts to downplay it, they believed there might be additional factors at play.
‘Hope Billy is all good (especially after he fell on stage recently),’ another weighed in.
Joel announced that his tour has been pushed back in a statement released on Tuesday.
The planned tour has been rescheduled for four months due to his recent surgery and need for supervised physical therapy by his doctors. Joel is anticipated to fully recover. The tour will recommence at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh on July 5, 2025, as stated in the update posted on Tuesday.

In his statement, Joel expressed that although he’s sorry about rescheduling any performances, prioritizing his health is crucial. He’s eager to return to the stage and continue delighting our fantastic audience members with live music. Thanks for your patience and understanding.
The tour will continue in November, beginning in Detroit, with Joel performing alongside Fleetwood Mac’s iconic Stevie Nicks on stage.
According to the announcement, tickets previously bought will work on their own at the newly scheduled concerts without needing any additional action.
Joel’s official site hasn’t been updated to show the new concert dates, as they still appear according to the original schedule.
After performing in Detroit, the artist famously known as the Piano Man is planning to visit Toronto on March 14, 2026, then move on to Syracuse on April 10, followed by a stop in Salt Lake City on May 22.
Afterward, he’ll make his journey over the ocean for a performance in Edinburgh on June 6, followed by another show in Liverpool on the 20th of June.
I’m absolutely thrilled! I’ll be catching Joel live in Charlotte on the 3rd of July, and can hardly wait to see him again! As for the Milwaukee gig, it’s set in stone. But as for when he’ll grace the stage in Wisconsin, details are still under wraps – fingers crossed they announce something soon!
