Billy Idol reveals reaction to his secret love child after sleeping with ‘millions’ of people he didn’t know
Billy Idol shared that he wasn’t too surprised when he found out about his secretly born child, given the lively and unconventional nature of his romantic escapades in the realm of rock music.
In my pursuit of all things music-related, I recently came across an intriguing documentary about Idol. It unveiled a fascinating revelation from 2023: our beloved rock star, then age 69, discovered he had a son born in 1985, conceived during his Rebel Hearts tour. The breakthrough came when the results of his daughter’s DNA test pointed to a half-brother.
During an interview with The i Paper, Idol shared that he had a surprising encounter with his grown son, Brand Broad. He admitted feeling somewhat taken aback upon discovering he had a third child, and lightheartedly mentioned that it seemed as though he might have slept with a ‘large number’ of people.
He laughed as he explained, “There might have been something to it, the more I pondered. After all, during the ’70s and ’80s, we were engaging in casual, intense encounters with countless individuals. It’s not uncommon knowledge that many figures in the rock scene had children outside their regular relationships.
He chuckled, pondering the thought that there might be more children somewhere: ‘If any existed, I believe we’d be aware of it by now.’
For the first time, Bonnie Blue, Idol’s daughter, discovered about her half-brother living in New York when she conducted a DNA test with 23andMe.

Like Idol’s father and his uncle Jack, Broad also works in construction.
‘We’re quite good friends, and I love him. He’s a nice guy,’ Idol told the publication.
In Billy’s newly released documentary titled “Billy Idol Should Be Dead,” the intriguing disclosure is delved into. This documentary had its premiere at the recent Tribeca Film Festival.
In the year 2023, I proudly introduced my beloved granddaughter McKenzie to my Instagram family, sharing snapshots from our backstage encounter at the Kings Theatre. My heartfelt caption read: ‘Had a delightful visit from my adorable granddaughter McKenzie backstage yesterday… and also with my talented son @brant_northridge_broad… Notably, McKenzie has recently embarked on her educational journey at the BFI.’
Legendarily famous figure, Idol, has never been married but is a father to two children. One of them, Willem Wolfe Broad, born in 1984, was conceived with Perri Lister, a bandmate from Hot Gossip. Another child, Bonnie Blue Broad, age 35, comes from Idol’s past relationship with Linda Mathis.
As a lifestyle guide, I must admit that it’s hardly shocking when the world learns about another offspring of a celebrated figure like myself, given my tumultuous past as a rocker grappling with various vices. My struggles were deeply rooted in battles against heroin, marijuana, opium, alcohol, and an intense fixation on intimacy.

It wasn’t until 1994, when he suffered an overdose and collapsed outside a Los Angeles club, that Idol made the decision to change his life in order to set a better example for his children.
It’s said that he quit using strong narcotics in the year 2003. However, he clarified that he persisted with regular cannabis use instead.
In 2019, he shared with DailyMailTV that he had risked his life multiple times because of his wild rock and roll lifestyle in the past, but now, he openly states that he appreciates it even more without indulging in drinking vodka bottles on stage anymore.
He mentioned that for someone to excel as a singer, they require an abundance of breath. He emphasized the importance of physical fitness in this role and suggested that it’s not enough to simply appear on stage.

I’d rather survive this performance and move on to the next one, compared to collapsing on stage, which could make for an intriguing show. But the latter isn’t my preferred scenario.
Originally hailing from Middlesex, England, Idol relocated to Patchogue, New York at the age of two. Later in his teenage years, the family returned to live in England again.
I’m totally smitten! Bonnie, this incredible woman, is blessed with not one, but two fabulous daughters – Poppy Rebel and MaryJane Rebel. On the other hand, Brant, a man of great charm, and his lovely spouse are parents to a charming duo as well.
Currently, the renowned singer of Rebel Yell is leading a quieter life, yet he continues to rock with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts for their forthcoming “It’s a Nice Day to… Tour Again” tour. This tour kick-starts on April 30 in Phoenix, Arizona.
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’m fortunate to call the vibrant city of Los Angeles my home, sharing it with my cherished partner, China Chow – a dynamic woman whose lineage is deeply rooted in the successful Mr. Chow restaurant empire, founded by her esteemed father.
