Billy Bob Thornton, 69, makes rare remarks about being wed SIX times after sharing he still talks to Angelina Jolie
As I delve into the fascinating and multifaceted life of Billy Bob Thornton, I am struck by his resilience, versatility, and unyielding passion for storytelling. From his humble beginnings in Arkansas to his meteoric rise as an actor, writer, and musician, he has carved out a unique niche for himself in the entertainment industry. His ability to seamlessly transition between genres, from drama to comedy, is nothing short of remarkable.
Billy Bob Thornton made some rare comments about being married a total of six times.
On a whirlwind of excitement, I couldn’t help but tune into the captivating interview of my beloved star, featured on Drew Barrymore’s talk show on Tuesday. This extraordinary gentleman, currently gracing our screens in the mesmerizing series “Landman” alongside Demi Moore, decided to share his enchanting tale with us!
Connie Nielsen, an actress renowned for her roles in Men in Black, is his current spouse. They tied the knot ten years ago and share a single child together.
Among his well-known former spouses is Angelina Jolie, an Academy Award winner, whom he married from 2000 to 2003. Prior to that, he was involved with Laura Dern.
As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but share the thrill of spotting a legendary 69-year-old actor from Arkansas, clad in a sleek black ensemble, complete with a fedora and a striking blue plaid shirt. The scene was set on a cozy sofa, where he engaged in an enthralling chat with the charming Drew Barrymore.
As I reminisce, I find myself reflecting on the fact that I’ve stood by my beloved companion for a remarkable 22 years. In those years, we formalized our bond and became husband and wife, celebrating our union for an equally wonderful 10 years. We’re also blessed to have a magnificent daughter who has enriched our lives beyond measure. Sharing these milestones with you, Drew, is truly heartwarming.
He mentioned that it happened during the filming of Bad Santa, as he was having something like an unplanned extended break, if you catch my drift.
In the span of just a few short months, I was pulled from my rut and found myself in the company of an extraordinary woman. It’s been longer than all my previous relationships combined, making this bond stronger and more enduring with each passing day.
When Barrymore asked how many times he has been married, he shared his story.
‘Well, you wanna hear something that really freaked me out because it’s six for me.
One day, I unexpectedly found myself perusing the internet, where a search led me down a rabbit hole of unrelated content that I didn’t initially intend to explore. However, curiosity got the best of me and I ended up looking at it anyway. On this particular occasion, I came across a list of people with the most marriages in Hollywood, and surprisingly enough, I was the only active individual on that list.
In simpler terms, the scenario resembled one with actors such as Mickey Rooney and Elizabeth Taylor, along with others who debuted in the 1930s.
Thornton has been married six times and he has four children by three women.
From 1978 to 1980, he was married to Melissa Lee Gatlin. They had a daughter Amanda.
In 1986, Thornton tied the knot with actress Toni Lawrence. Unfortunately, their marriage didn’t last long, as they parted ways the following year, eventually finalizing their divorce in 1988.
From 1990 to 1992, he was married to actress Cynda Williams.
1993 saw Thornton tying the knot with Playboy model Pietra Dawn Cherniak, and together they welcomed two sons into their family. However, their union didn’t last long, as it came to an end in 1997.
From 1997 to 1999, Thornton was in a relationship with Laura Dern, but in the year 2000, he tied the knot with Jolie. Their marriage lasted until June 2002 when they parted ways, and the following year marked their divorce.
In 2003, he met Angland.
Billy and Angelina are still in touch, Bill said in 2019.
Thornton mentioned that he and Angelina have a strong friendship that spans over many years during the presentation of Goliath at the Tribeca TV Festival in New York City.
In simple terms, “Even though she doesn’t live in town very often and we don’t get together frequently, we manage to stay connected by talking.
Back in 2000, I was absolutely ecstatic when my beloved idol, Angelina Jolie, tied the knot with Billy Bob Thornton, the brilliant actor from Sling Blade. Our relationship, at times quirky and unconventional, filled me with joy and wonder. However, in June 2002, our hearts seemed to drift apart, leading to a separation that left me heartbroken. The pain of their divorce, which was finalized in May 2003, was as palpable as the love I once felt for them.
In a November 2016 interview with GQ, Billy Bob expressed that he always felt inferior to her because her charitable works contrasted sharply with his laid-back personality.
Regarding the ampoules of blood they had hanging from necklaces, an alumnus of Fargo explained to The Hollywood Reporter in October 2014, “It was quite an unusual period. I’ve always disliked it.
I exclaimed: “Our paths often diverged as she embarked on her Tomb Raider adventures, while I was immersed in the world of Monster’s Ball.
She found the idea intriguing and sentimental: “What if we gently touched a small safety pin to our skin, collected a tiny bit of blood, and then used it to mark these locket pendants? Just as you might cherish a lock of your child’s baby hair, these locks could become special keepsakes for you.
‘Consequently, we donned flasks filled with blood around our necks, for we were creatures of the night, known as vampires, residing in a subterranean dwelling.’
Back in 2004, the moment I laid eyes on Brad Pitt on the set of Mr. And Mrs. Smith, I was hooked! Fast forward to now, it’s like a dream come true that we’ve become inseparable ever since.
19 years after their initial union, they exchanged vows in August 2014. In September 2016, the actress who played Maleficent’s mistress of evil filed papers to end their marriage.
Meanwhile, Billy Bob secretly tied the knot with Connie Angland in October 2014.
He has been promoting Landman.
Last week he attended the LA premiere with his wife.
At the recent Landman event, I confidently showcased an elegantly understated style with my sleek all-black ensemble and artfully layered necklaces adorning my neck – a timeless look that exuded an effortless coolness.
The Bad Santa star wore a fedora over a headscarf and slipped on a pair of Western boots.
Landman zeroes in on the monumental oil rush in Texas, examining the lengths to which influential tycoons in the industry are willing to go to preserve their colossal fortunes.
The series is jointly created by Taylor Sheridan, age 53, who is known for creating the Yellowstone universe, and Christian Wallace, a podcast host.
Just like Yellowstone, the story of Landman unfolds in contemporary times and draws inspiration from the hit podcast Boomtown, which narrated the oil rush phenomenon of the 21st century in the American West.
The series narrative presents a tale of two worlds – the hardworking laborers and the wealthy tycoons who are driving an unprecedented surge. This surge is not only transforming our environment, economy, and political landscape but also challenging the status quo in profound ways.
Demi is slated for the recurring role of Cami, whose spouse Monty, portrayed by Jon Hamm, holds considerable influence in Texas’s oil industry and has a close connection with Tommy Norris, played by Billy Bob Thornton.
Season one of Landman will premiere on Paramount+ on November 18.
After spending the past week showcasing our West Texas drama in the UK, I’ve just touched down back in the U.S. as a devoted follower of this project.
After the premiere of Demi’s recent movie, The Substance, featuring Margaret Qualley, aged 30, a promotional tour for Landman will follow shortly.
The film first appeared on screens at the Cannes Film Festival in May, receiving instant praise from critics. It opened in theaters on September 20th.
In this chilling movie, the plot revolves around an ex-celebrity named Moore, who employs an enigmatic substance from the black market that duplicates her cells, resulting in a brief transformation into a youthful iteration of herself.
Additionally, the ensemble features Dennis Quaid and Hugo Diego Garcia, with Coralie Fargeat handling both writing and directing duties.
Tune in to The Drew Barrymore Show on Tuesday, November 19.
