Billionaire Adrian ‘Mr Lambo’ Portelli abandons plans to build Melbourne mansion and offloads land for $2.7million after neighbours refused to sell their home to him

Adrian Portelli, also known as ‘Mr Lambo’, has canceled the construction project for his new multi-million dollar home in Melbourne.

The billionaire is selling his Strathmore residential block with a $2.5million to $2.7million price listing. 

In the early months of 2023, Portelli acquired a piece of land at a cost of $2.7 million, intending to construct a residence offering panoramic cityscape vistas for himself.

However, his hopes to buy surrounding blocks to expand his space fell through.  

He shared with realestate.com.au that he had been considering the possibility of purchasing his neighbors’ homes in order to combine them into a single, larger property.

In my eagerness, I presented an appealing offer, one that surpassed the market value of their beloved home. Yet, they declined my proposal, choosing not to part with it. I hold nothing but admiration for their decision, as I understand and appreciate their strong attachment to it.

Portelli expresses his desire to recover the value he invested in the land, while also searching for a larger piece of property elsewhere.

He informed the website, “If I can’t claim that piece of land, I might build a house there and take some time to relax.

Portelli is recognized for his extravagant preferences, frequently sharing glimpses into his opulent lifestyle across various social media platforms.

The Block bidder made his fortune through his giveaway business LMCT+ as well as property investing and now has an estimated net worth of a huge $1.03billion.
