As a dedicated follower of Billie Shepherd and her family’s journey over the past decade, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia mixed with a tinge of melancholy at the news of their decision to quit The Family Diaries. For 10 years, we’ve been privy to their highs, their lows, their tears, their tantrums, and their celebrations – all captured in an incredibly intimate way that made us feel like part of their family.

Billie Shepherd announced her departure from ITV’s The Family Diaries, expressing heartfelt farewells in a moving Instagram post on Thursday.

After a decade of allowing cameras into their home, Billie and her spouse, Greg, have chosen to call it quits.

Spectators can catch the last installment of The Family Diaries on ITV, airing on November 21 at 9 PM. According to Billie, it promises to be a moving and emotional conclusion.

Billie, aged 34, and Greg, aged 39, who are parents to Nelly (age 10), Arthur (age 7), and baby Margot (21 months old), have spent their entire lives in the public eye due to their involvement in reality television since birth.

Sharing the exciting update with you all, she posted: ‘After nearly a decade of shooting for The Mummy diaries and @familydiariesofficial, we are officially concluding this incredible chapter ❤️’

Oh, what an incredible ride it’s been! From welcoming new life, nurturing our kids, the ups and downs of parenthood, laughter and tears, joyous moments, challenging times, bachelor and bachelorette parties, building a home, and of course, tying the knot ✨

We’re truly appreciative for the chance to preserve these moments and let you all be a part of it! A big thank you to Suziewells_ and ChattyDave for sticking with us throughout this journey ❤️

We’d like to express our gratitude to all who have stood by us throughout the last ten years. It truly means a great deal. A heartfelt thank you goes out to @itv, for creating what we consider the best home movie ever!

It seems that the moment has arrived for us to embark on a new journey. Once more, I extend my heartfelt gratitude for the affection and encouragement you’ve given us throughout the years. Love always, Billie, Greg, Nelly, Arthur, and Margot ❤️ xxxx

Tonight marks our final episode, a heartfelt 90-minute special airing at 9 PM on ITVBE. We sincerely hope you’ll join us for this emotional journey! If you’d like to revisit the entire series, it’s available for your viewing pleasure as well. ❤️

In 2014, their eldest daughter, Nelly, appeared on TV for the first time on ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ at just a few weeks of age.

Much like Nelly, I too made my screen debut shortly after being welcomed into the world. My parents, Billie and Sam, introduced me to audiences through their shared series, The Mummy Diaries.

After Sam left the series in 2021, Billie and Greg have been highlighting their stylish existence on their individual program, introducing their baby girl Margot into the limelight as well.

In a special conversation with TopMob last May, Billie and Greg discussed their strategies for ensuring their kids remain down-to-earth despite growing up amidst the glare of public attention.

Billie mentioned that it has been a constant practice for them, as well as their kids, to film. In fact, they’re not accustomed to anything else.

I believe that, unless there’s some sort of issue or worry, such as if Nelly were to approach me with any concerns she might have.

It’s clear that the children’s happiness is our top concern. However, I believe we do a great job of helping them stay humble.

Billie commented: “Ultimately, they’re just children, right? I mean, Nelly is so amusing and cheerful, making her quite engaging.

She’s accustomed to being surrounded by many people, and I believe this will bring nothing but positivity for her and her upcoming life.

As a lifestyle expert reflecting on the subject, I’ve often pondered this question: “Would she encounter different treatment or face unique challenges?” However, in my experience, such scenarios haven’t materialized as anticipated.

At our school, things have been smooth-sailing without any major issues. We’d be quick to find out about it since Nelly keeps us informed on everything. She’s quite transparent with us. Furthermore, we’ve managed to avoid such incidents fortunately.
