Billie Eilish’s brother Finneas proposes to longtime girlfriend Claudia Sulewski with MASSIVE diamond ring

Billie Eilish’s brother, Finneas, shared the happy news that he’s engaged to Claudia Sulewski, his girlfriend of seven years.

The 28-year-old musician, famous for working with his Grammy-winning sister, announced the exciting news on Instagram Wednesday in a post they both shared.

The couple began their romance when they met on the exclusive dating app Raya back in 2018. 

Finneas proposed to Claudia on Monday, and she shared the news with a caption reading ‘forever and ever 9.22’.

In one image, the pair smiled towards the cameras as she took a quick a selfie. 

Claudia subtly drew attention to the diamond engagement ring on her finger by covering her mouth with her hand. The ring featured a large, rectangular diamond set on a silver band.

Finneas and Claudia kissed and hugged, enjoying the beautiful view from the hilltop.

The music producer proposed to his girlfriend at sunset which added to the romantic atmosphere. 

For the occasion, she wore a red, sleeveless dress and black sandals. Finneas kept it simple and stylish in a completely black outfit.

The proposal was filmed, showing Finneas getting down on one knee and revealing a ring box in his pants pocket.

Claudia covered her face with her hands when Finneas proposed, and she nodded yes before kissing him.

The video then showed the musician carrying his future wife towards the camera so Claudia could display her engagement ring.

After he proposed, we immediately snuggled up by the outdoor fireplace – it was such a cozy moment! I also wanted to share a better look at the gorgeous diamond ring with everyone, so I showed it off to my followers. It’s absolutely stunning!

She snapped a photo as she held hands with Finneas as they enjoyed a helicopter ride. 

Hailee Steinfeld excitedly wrote, ‘YAYYYAYAY!!!!!! Congratulations to you two!!!!’ and Dove Cameron simply commented, ‘oh my heart.’

Addison Rae offered her congratulations, and Gracie Abrams excitedly typed, ‘CONGRATULATIONS YOU GUYS!’

Kaia Gerber expressed her excitement with an ‘oh my’ and a heart-eyes emoji, while Maddie Ziegler simply wrote ‘congratulations’ with two red hearts.

Julianna Hough enthusiastically congratulated the couple, writing, ‘Yesssssss – congratulations you two angels!’ The Recording Academy also joined in, simply stating, ‘Congratulations! So beautiful.’

In a 2020 interview on The Skinny Confidential Him & Her podcast, Claudia shared that she’d seen Finneas on the Raya dating app, but she was already familiar with the Oscar winner through friends.

For two and a half years before Raya is where we met, I’d known him through the music industry. Two of my closest friends had worked with him in recording sessions.

She also mentioned that on two separate occasions, both of them said she and this other person would really hit it off. However, they both agreed it wouldn’t work because he was always traveling.

The media personality then saw Finneas’ profile on Raya in September 2018. 

Things came together really easily and fast because we were already friends with a lot of the same people.

Okay, so get this – the *very next year*, Finneas dropped this song called ‘Claudia,’ and it’s insane because he actually wrote it the *day* he met her! I mean, can you even imagine? It’s the sweetest, most romantic thing ever, and it just proves how instantly he fell for her. I replay it constantly, seriously!

In late 2019, the couple showed their commitment to each other by buying a house together in Los Angeles.

Finneas and Claudia worked together on his 2022 song, “Mona Lisa, Mona Lisa,” and Claudia directed and appeared in the music video for it.

Last November, the singer shared some details about his relationship with Claudia in an interview with Nylon magazine.

He explained that his love for her went beyond just admiring her personality, thoughts, humor, and skills – he also cherished the sense of partnership and working together they shared.

Finneas described compatibility as dealing with frustrating situations, like when your dog gets sprayed by a skunk.

Even if things are difficult, like having a leaky roof during a rainstorm, having someone to share the experience with can make it much more bearable.

The couple has been seen together at several high-profile events over the years, such as the 2025 Grammy Awards and last year’s Vanity Fair Oscars party.

Claudia has become close friends with Billie Eilish, Finneas’ sister, and they’ve been seen together on social media and at various high-profile events.
