Bill Skarsgård’s best movie is on TV tonight
As a seasoned gamer of horror movies, I can confidently say that Bill Skarsgård’s performances are always a chilling treat to watch, and his latest horror reboot, The Crow, is no exception. But if you’re looking for a spine-tingling experience before that, I highly recommend giving Zach Cregger’s Barbarian a go.
As a longtime fan of horror films, I am thrilled to see Bill Skarsgård back on the big screen this weekend with the reboot of “The Crow.” With his chilling performance in “IT” and other horror roles, it’s clear that he has a knack for bringing terror to life. If you want to get in the mood for “The Crow,” I highly recommend checking out some of Skarsgård’s previous work. As someone who has watched many of his movies, I can attest that they are sure to leave you on the edge of your seat and sleeping with one eye open!
In late 2022, Zach Cregger’s movie “Barbarian” was unveiled, featuring Alexander Skarsgård portraying Keith. An unexpected situation arose when Tess (Georgina Campbell) arrived at the Airbnb he had reserved, only to discover that the property had been inadvertently double-booked by its owners.
As a considerate gamer type, I graciously offer the couch for her comfort, giving her the option to retreat into her own space if needed. But little did we both know, cohabiting with an unfamiliar soul was just the tip of our iceberg of troubles.
If you haven’t seen the critically acclaimed horror movie or fancy a rewatch, Barbarian has its network premiere tonight (August 22) on Film4 at 9pm.
There’s no need to keep yourself awake late into the weeknights if you prefer not to, as Barbarian will soon be accessible for viewing on Channel 4’s streaming platform right after it airs on television.
It also receives a repeat broadcast next Tuesday (August 27) on Film4 at 9pm.
After its debut in 2022, the movie “Barbarian” generated over $40 million at the US box office from an estimated budget of $4.5 million. On Rotten Tomatoes, it boasts a 92% approval rating, surpassing both the “It” films featuring Skarsgård as Pennywise in terms of critical acclaim.
If you’re encountering it for the first time, be prepared for unexpected turns that even Georgina Campbell might not have anticipated everyone would appreciate.
“As soon as I finished reading it, I realized I adored it and thought it was amazing. Some might find themselves wondering, ‘What’s going on here? What’s the purpose? How will this make sense?’ I shared this with Digital Spy.”
What made it enjoyable was the fact that everyone who contributed to it had a genuine enthusiasm for it; they were truly dedicated to creating this movie.
Tonight, August 22nd, “Barbarian” is set to air on Film4 at 9 PM. Following the broadcast, you can stream it on Channel 4’s online platform.
