Bill Skarsgård to join Stranger Things star in new thriller
As a seasoned gamer and movie enthusiast who has spent countless hours navigating the eerie landscapes of horror games like “Amnesia” and “Outlast,” I can’t help but feel a chill down my spine at the prospect of these two talented actors, Bill Skarsgård and Dacre Montgomery, teaming up for a thriller based on a true story. The intrigue surrounding “Dead Man’s Wire” is palpable, and with Gus Van Sant at the helm, I have no doubt that this film will be a chilling masterpiece.
Actor Bill Skarsgård will team up with Dacre Montgomery in a forthcoming thriller film that’s inspired by real-life events.
As reported by Deadline, the upcoming series “Dead Man’s Wire” tells a story about a former property developer who aims to exact revenge on the mortgage banker who wronged him. In a thrilling turn of events, this developer takes the banker hostage, setting forth his demands: $5 million and a sincere apology.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m pumped about the upcoming film, which is set to be helmed by the talented Oscar nominee Gus Van Sant. Austin Kolodney is crafting the script for this masterpiece. Unfortunately, details about the roles of Skarsgård and Montgomery are being tightly guarded, so we’ll have to wait and see how they bring their characters to life!
Producer Cassian Elwes expressed his sheer excitement about reconnecting with one of the world’s top directors, and he’s eagerly looking forward to collaborating with the talented cast that the director is gathering for this movie.
Known primarily for playing the character Billy Hargrove in the Netflix series “Stranger Things,” Montgomery’s role will conclude as the show moves towards its fifth and last season. In the season 3 finale, the actor departed, only to reappear unexpectedly in season 4.
After that, he appeared in the horror film “Went Up the Hill”, sharing the screen with actress Vicky Krieps, who is famously known for her role in “The Girl in the Spider’s Web”.
In the coming days, Alexander Skarsgård is set to portray the chilling Count Orlok in Robert Eggers’ version of Nosferatu, which will premiere on New Year’s Day (January 1, 2025) in the UK.
Besides Chloë Grace Moretz, the following actors are part of the cast: Lily-Rose Depp, Nicholas Hoult, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Emma Corrin, Simon McBurney, Willem Dafoe, and Ralph Ineson.
In its review, Digital Spy gave the film “Nosferatu” a perfect five-star rating, summarizing it as: “Nosferatu” skillfully combines the rural terror of ‘The Witch’ with the epic scope of ‘The Northman’. By bringing his long-awaited vision to life, director Robert Eggers has gifted us all with the outstanding horror movie of 2021.
I’m super excited! Nosferatu, the movie, is dropping in US theaters on Christmas Day this year, and it’ll be gracing screens in the UK on New Year’s Day, 2025. Can’t wait to catch it on the big screen!
