Jennifer Gates, eldest daughter of tech mogul Bill Gates, has now embraced parenthood for the second time, as she’s welcomed a new addition to her family.
28-year-old Jennifer Gates, the offspring of Bill and Melinda Gates, who were wed for 27 years between 1994 and 2021, offered a sneak peek of her newly born child, Mia, on Sunday.
On our special third wedding anniversary this past weekend, my beloved spouse, Nayel Nassar, and I took to social media to share some exciting news: we’ve welcomed a new addition to our family – a precious baby, born on this very special day.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’m thrilled to share that on October 16th, the special couple marked their third milestone together. Back in March, they made a beautiful announcement, unveiling that this joyous occasion would be doubly blessed with the arrival of their second child.
Jennifer posted a picture showing her older daughter, Leila, peeking at the newborn via the bars of her cradle.
The newborn was swaddled in a cloth while her big sister kept a watchful eye over her in the post.
Jennifer shared, “Meet Mia, who made her arrival on our wedding anniversary’s third year – truly the most wonderful present we could have received.
In an online post, Bill, her affluent father, expressed his excitement by saying, “I’m absolutely thrilled for you, @jengatesnassar and @nayelnassar, and I can’t help but feel a tremendous joy for our entire family.
Jennifer’s mom, Melinda, remarked, ‘Well done Jenn and Nayel! It has been truly delightful witnessing your journey into parenthood. Now, I’m eagerly anticipating seeing Leila in her role as an older sibling.’

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that I recently joined the ranks of marriage, tying the knot with my equestrian partner, Nayel, in the autumn of 2021. Fast forward to the spring of 2023, and we’ve been blessed with the arrival of our beautiful daughter, Leila. It’s a wonderful journey we’re on!
A few months apart prior, Jennifer completed her medical studies – the graduation ceremony serving as a reunion between her mother and father who hadn’t seen each other for quite some time.
Dr. Gates, with her medical degrees (MD, MPH), couldn’t contain her amazement as she wrote, ‘It’s hard to believe we’ve arrived at this special moment – a dream of my girlhood is now a reality.’
Over the last five years, it’s been quite the rollercoaster ride filled with education, tests, sleepless nights, tears, perseverance, and countless instances of self-questioning. Yet, the peaks definitely exceeded the troughs.
Jennifer expressed her heartfelt gratitude for this journey, feeling profoundly indebted and thankful towards her teachers, guides, friends, and relatives who have consistently stood by her with unwavering support throughout.
