Bikini-clad Nadiya Bychkova brushes off Strictly Come Dancing axing as she enjoys a £3K-a-night holiday at Regnum The Crown in Turkey

Nadiya Bychkova seems unfazed by her departure from Strictly Come Dancing, as she’s currently enjoying a lavish £3,000-per-night getaway at the Regnum The Crown resort in Turkey.

The BBC has removed the 35-year-old professional dancer from the show as part of an effort to revamp it following recent controversies and the exits of hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.

Nadiya seems unbothered by the BBC’s decision to cancel her show, posting a cheerful video from a luxurious resort—the same one Jennifer Lopez has visited in the past—while enjoying the sunshine.

The woman, with blonde hair, looked stunning in a black and white bikini and pants as she danced near the pool.

Nadiya looked happy and cheerful, smiling and dancing along to Bruno Mars’ latest song, ‘Cha Cha Cha,’ while holding a bubbly drink.

This luxurious 5-star hotel has quickly become a popular getaway for celebrities. Last summer, stars like Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury, as well as Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash, all vacationed at the resort.

During her relaxing getaway, Nadiya prioritized her well-being and marked International Women’s Day by recognizing the power and perseverance of women.

Today, and always, let’s celebrate women – their strength, happiness, and ability to bounce back, as well as the wonderful support they give each other.

This news follows reports that the dancer has been removed from the show as the BBC tries to give the series a fresh start.

Nadiya has been a professional on Strictly Come Dancing for eight years, during which she’s danced with celebrities like TV’s Dan Walker, singer Matt Goss, and actor Davood Ghadami.

Last year she was partnered with rugby player Chris Robshaw.

She wasn’t invited to join the Strictly Live tour this year, and now she’s been informed that her participation in the show is finished.

According to friends, the Ukrainian five-time world champion is understandably upset, but he’s discussing options to stay involved with Strictly Come Dancing by contributing to the choreography team.

Long-serving pro Gorka Marquez is also out in the cull – as are Luba Mushtuk and Michelle Tsiakkas.

The BBC1 show is getting a revamp, with producers looking for new hosts now that Tess and Claudia have decided to leave. They’re aiming for a ‘fresh start’ and will announce the new presenters shortly.

Both professional dancers Giovanni Pernice and Graziano di Prima have left the show. Graziano’s departure followed claims that he mistreated his partner, Zara McDermott. Giovanni was investigated by the BBC after his partner, Amanda Abbington, made accusations of bullying, and some of those claims were confirmed.

There’s no indication that any of the new professional dancers joining Strictly Come Dancing after Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman left have done anything wrong.

Nadiya and her dance partner, Dan Walker, became close while competing on a show in 2021. Walker, who is a devout Christian, was eliminated after performing a lackluster tango during the quarter-finals.

Before leaving Strictly, Dan shared a heartfelt message for his partner. He said she had a wonderful impact on his life, like someone who brings light into your world.

‘You’re an amazing person, and if you’ll have me, you’ll have a friend for life Nadiya Bychkova.’

He added: ‘The last 11 weeks have been absolutely amazing, I’ve genuinely loved every second of it.

Thinking back to the very first time I was asked to dance under the disco balls, I would have immediately left through the nearest fire exit if I’d known where it was.

‘But this amazing woman grabbed me by the hand, and brought me out onto this dance floor.

I don’t consider myself a dancer, but she helped me realize I can dance. It’s been an amazing experience for me.

After the show ended, Dan was visibly upset backstage, crying on Nadiya’s shoulder as she offered him comfort. Photos also showed Nadiya leaving the studio in tears. Despite the difficult ending, they’ve stayed friends.

Nadiya, known for appearing in Slovenian Playboy in 2015, previously had a relationship with footballer Maria Skarabot, and together they have a nine-year-old daughter named Mila.

She recently ended a two-year relationship with Strictly Come Dancing professional Kai Widdrington in 2024. They both cited the difficulties of working together as the reason for the split.

She recently mentioned that dating is tough these days, and it really takes time to truly get to know someone.

No matter the situation – whether it’s a friendship, work relationship, or romantic connection – I’m just taking my time and not rushing into anything.

She shared that she’s not interested in using dating apps, saying they just don’t feel right for her. Recently, she’s been spotted with stage actor Ian McIntosh.

The BBC said: ‘Plans for Strictly Come Dancing 2026 will be confirmed in due course.’
