Big Brother Winner ‘Boogie’ Malin Arrested Again for Violating Restraining Order

Mike ‘Boogie’ Malin, former winner of Big Brother, has been taken into custody for the second time within a span of three months, as he continues to experience a prolonged decline in reputation.

At the end of January this year, he got detained for allegedly trying to steal items from two CVS pharmacies situated within Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley.

Currently, he’s back in custody under accusations that he breached a restraining order filed by his ex-Big Brother co-star, Dr. Will Kirby.

During their shared experience on Big Brother, Dr. Will Kirby, a dermatologist specializing in aesthetics, and Malin were friends. However, their friendship eventually faced difficulties.

In the year 2019, Kirby secured a protective order against Malin, who later admitted guilt for stalking his former acting colleague without contest.

According to reports, Malin did not show up in court regarding the issue, leading to the issuance of a warrant. This chain of events ultimately resulted in him being incarcerated on Friday, with his bail set at $20,000.

Kirby’s legal representative, Sam Ahmadpour, stated that protective orders serve a purpose, and nobody is exempt from following the law. We demand complete responsibility for this infringement.

Initially, Malin made an appearance on Big Brother US during its second season back in 2001. After that, she emerged victorious in the seventh season of the show, which took place in 2006. Later on, she reappeared in season 14 of the series, which aired in 2012.

During seasons two and seven, he along with Kirby were well-known for their strong friendship. They were instrumental in forming the popular “Chilltown” alliance which included several other contestants.

It seems that the issues between Malin and Kirby arose after they both received an invitation to star in another reality TV show together.

Kirby declined the job, thereby implying that Malin’s proposal was withdrawn as well. This situation seemed to lead to a worsening of their relationship.

In the year 2019, Kirby managed to secure a restraining order against Malin, following allegations that Malin had sent threats not only to Kirby but also to Kirby’s family members.

Subsequently, he obtained a 10-year injunction preventing Malin from approaching Kirby, his relatives, or any of his medical facilities.

In the year 2021, Malin admitted no guilt regarding charges of stalking. As a result, he was mandated to pay Kirby $23,219 with interest, and also served three days in jail. Additionally, he was placed under two years of probation and required to spend 30 days in a residential treatment facility.

In addition, he was given 160 hours of community service, required to submit his DNA for a database, and faced other penalties as part of the sentencing.

In the subsequent year, Malin’s probation termination occurred, followed by an order for his apprehension due to his absence at a court hearing concerning his stalking charges.

Apart from these issues, he’s additionally dealt with other legal complications, such as being detained in 2020 for suspected DUI in Las Vegas and getting arrested for shoplifting this past January.
