Big Brother star David Graham used a vile homophobic slur before assaulting a young man on his farm
A contestant from the reality show “Big Brother,” who made headlines for publicly announcing his sexuality, allegedly used a derogatory term for homosexual men (“faggot”) and physically attacked a guest on his farm one evening.
Previously, David Graham – affectionately called ‘Farmer Dave’ by his followers – shared his account of the incident that led to the altercation with Daily Mail Australia, though he omitted any reference to using derogatory words related to sexual orientation.
Last Friday, the 45-year-old admitted guilt for one charge of common assault. He was then found guilty and given a nine-month term under a conditional release order.
Initially, additional allegations such as choking, threats, and destruction of property were brought against Graham during his court appearance at Windsor Local Court, located in Sydney’s north-west. However, these specific cases were subsequently dropped.
In the statements presented in court, it was indicated that Graham’s profession encompasses three roles: host, farmer, and youth worker. However, it was also disclosed that his sole income comes from a weekly wage of $1,500 from workers’ compensation.
The payments were necessitated by post-traumatic stress disorder, and they were used for both rental expenses and the upbringing of five children, in addition to the care of seven dogs.
The individual who Daily Mail Australia decided not to identify was temporarily residing on Graham’s farm located in the Hawkesbury area, but left following the incident.
For the past four months, I’ve shared a home with Graham, but our relationship stretches back over a significant span – as detailed in the facts presented.
Graham shared with Daily Mail Australia on Monday evening that he provided shelter for the young man on his property since “he had no other place to reside.
The celebrity from reality TV mentioned that he encountered the young fellow while helping at-risk youth with dog training and learning various crafts.
Additionally, Graham asserted that social gatherings involving alcohol took place on his farm when he was absent, as he was in Queensland attending to his ailing mother.
‘I counselled him that he must find alternative accommodation,’ he told Daily Mail Australia.
Apart from asserting that the young man failed to care for his animals, Graham additionally reported finding one of the dogs extremely emaciated or near-skeletal in appearance.
In court, none of the presented facts touched upon alcohol consumption, Graham’s ailing mother, or skinny dogs.
Or,
The facts stated during the trial did not include any details about alcohol, Graham’s sick mother, or malnourished pets.
The court document states that Graham requested the victim to activate the surveillance system installed at his premises on the 27th of January.
Graham, expressing his disbelief, started to harshly criticize the individual, using derogatory language such as “asshole” and “gay slur,” shouting these words at him.

At approximately 4:30 PM, the discussion became very intense, and the affected individual tried to exit the premises by rushing to his vehicle.
‘On doing this the accused followed him to the vehicle,’ the statement of facts said.
‘The accused grabbed the car door handle attempting to open it and hit the car window.
The situation made him feel anxious about his safety, as he thought he might be attacked, so he chose to leave the area.
The victim returned to the farm about 8.30pm with a male friend to collect his belongings.
As the victim was collecting his belongings, Graham started acting aggressively toward his companion, who happened to be near a truck.
The victim recorded Graham calling him and and his friend ‘f***ing c***s’ and ‘f***king f***ots’.
In an attempt to shield his friend, the victim warned Graham, “Keep your hands off him,” but after Graham shoved the victim, he retorted, “Leave me alone.

A short while later, as per the account of events, the victim found himself in his bedroom upon hearing a thunderous noise.
He then saw Graham drop his cupboard, causing a drawer to fall out and a wheel to break off.
Graham told the person, ‘Cut out the sarcastic remarks,’ to which the individual responded, ‘I’m not being sarcastic.’
The next morning, police attended Graham’s farm, where he was arrested.
Inquired whether he removed the victim from his home the preceding night, Graham replied: “Absolutely, I did so for sure.
Asked again about committing the assault, Graham said: ‘To push him out of the house, yes.’
At Windsor Police Station, Graham experienced a state of physical distress during an interview that was being electronically recorded. In this discussion, he detailed the assault.
According to the details presented, the defendant expressed that he was made uncomfortable due to the presence of knives carelessly placed around the home.

Nevertheless, the defendant further aggravated the situation by shouting at the victim and venturing into their bedroom.
The defendant confessed to attacking the person involved, as they attempted to forcibly eject them from the house.
In a conversation with Daily Mail Australia, Graham openly acknowledged that he had made a mistake by doing something unacceptable. However, he also shared his intention to challenge the harshness of the penalty imposed on him through an appeals process.
After coming back from Queensland, Graham requested the victim to vacate his residence, which the individual complied with. Later that evening, Graham’s companion joined him at the house.
He said he pushed the victim with two open palms after the pair had refused to leave the premises.
He expressed his surprise, having recently been healing from PTSD following five years in a very demanding job setting,” he shared.
At that moment, I had no idea about the number of tall men lurking in the darkness… Since I was by myself on my remote land and felt threatened, I decided to take charge of the situation and acted accordingly.
‘I accept that pushing a human is assault.’

Graham stated that he would no longer provide aid to the homeless, and he found out that “doing good deeds often leads to unexpected consequences.
He stated that this situation seems to be indicating that it’s essential for him to establish firm limits, avoid getting entangled in others’ issues, and instead prioritize his personal healing process.
Back in the vibrant year of 2006, I found myself gracing the reality TV show Big Brother during its sixth season. Little did my fellow housemates and viewers know, I was about to make television history. As the competition drew to a close and I stood proudly in third place, I decided it was time to step out of the shadows and openly express my true identity – I am gay. This bold move not only resonated with audiences across the nation but also paved the way for future contestants to fearlessly be themselves on reality TV.
In 2022, he returned for the show’s 14th season and finished 13th out of 22 contestants.
In 2019, a beloved figure from reality TV launched the charity known as RuffTrack, intending to bridge vulnerable youth with dogs as a means of promoting accountability and trust.
In December, he shared with Daily Mail Australia that he had stepped back from the project due to feeling exhausted or overworked.
The individual, Graham, is currently under a two-year restraining order due to an alleged act of violence against him who was assaulted.
