Fans of Celebrity Big Brother found themselves puzzled when Chris Hughes disclosed to his cohabitants about Katy Perry’s planned space voyage on the broadcast from Thursday night.

Recently, the pop star, aged 40, faced intense criticism and harsh ridicule for her participation in Jeff Bezos’ exclusive all-female space voyage aboard Blue Origin.

During the 11-minute trip, Katy drew attention (and not always positive) by serenading her fellow travelers and planting a kiss on the ground upon arrival.

Despite the fact that the space mission occurred on April 14, with the celebrities being inside the Big Brother house where they had no contact with the outside world or social media, Chris appeared to be aware of the contentious incident.

In conversation with my housemates, I found myself posing an intriguing question to Jack P Shepherd, catching him a bit off-guard: “Given the chance, just like Katy Perry, would you consider venturing into space?

Clearly hearing the news for the first time Jack asked: ‘Did she go to space? Why Katy Perry?’ 

Chris responded, “I believe I added some momentum to it, though it might have been just for that purpose – the historic first all-female space voyage.

I absolutely wouldn’t board it, no way. It would scare me so much that I might become terrified and lose my composure to the point where I doubted returning.

And fans were quick to spot the slip up as they took to Twitter to share their shock.

I’m utterly astounded! How in the world did Chris somehow figure out that Katy Perry had gone to space? I mean, wasn’t it on April 14th when she blasted off, and Chris was holed up at home as early as the 7th? Mind-blowing stuff, indeed!

I was watching Big Brother earlier, and Chris brought up Katy Perry planning to go to space. It left me curious, wondering how on earth he found out about it.

As a die-hard Katy Perry fan, I can’t help but feel a tinge of concern about her upcoming tour. With the opening show in Houston, Texas just around the corner (two weeks from now), it seems ticket sales aren’t exactly soaring as we’d all hoped they would. Here’s to hoping she continues to dazzle us on stage and sells out every single seat!

Katy Perry kicked off her Lifetimes Tour in Mexico on Wednesday, and she’s planning to perform at numerous venues throughout North America as part of promoting her seventh studio album, “143.” Unfortunately, this album received mostly negative reviews from critics upon its debut in September.

Online, people couldn’t resist poking fun at the stiff and clumsy dance moves seen in the videos from Wednesday’s performance.

One onlooker grumbled, “It’s not the mother who is moving,” while another quipped playfully, “Perhaps she could have devoted less time to space exploration and more to rehearsals, laughing.

One social media post likened their actions to those of a cat self-grooming, another labeled them as completely devoid of emotion or spirit, and yet another was surprised when their supporters claimed they were a superior performer compared to Lady Gaga – goodbye.
