Big Brother 27 reveals first five cast members, and they might look familiar

The first five cast members of Big Brother 27 have finally been revealed.

Following almost nine months, we’re ready for a fresh season of Big Brother! The upcoming Big Brother 27 signifies a significant achievement for the reality TV genre; this series has maintained its presence on our screens for an uninterrupted quarter-century, debuting in the summer of 2000. To honor this impressive milestone, it looks like CBS is pulling out all the stops for Big Brother 27, and that begins with the selection of contestants.

As I write this, I’m only three days away from the much-anticipated start of Big Brother 27, yet there’s been no official announcement regarding the full cast reveal. However, over the Independence Day weekend, CBS gave us a little taste with a promotional video featuring the first five cast members. Some diligent Big Brother fans have already managed to uncover the identities of these players, and you can find their introductions right here below.

Who are the first five cast members of Big Brother 27?

On July 5th, CBS aired a commercial unveiling the first five cast members of the show. Excited fans and BB enthusiasts flocked online immediately after to identify these players, learn their origins, and gather any additional information they could find. The community even uploaded the commercial online for those who missed it, allowing everyone to view it at their convenience.

Through some clever deduction or perhaps a keen eye, BB enthusiasts managed to identify the five initial cast members from the brief advertisement for Big Brother 27. The first five housemates in this season’s lineup, in the exact order they appear, are as follows: [Names of the first five cast members].

Vince Panaro

Katherine Woodman

Ashley Hollis

Zach Cornell

Isaiah Frederich

So far, we know quite a good deal about a few of the cast members.

As a fellow enthusiast, let me share some insights about Zach Cornell. Previously, he was a professional baseball player who donned the jersey for the Washington Nationals in their minor league system. His last on-field appearance was in 2021, following which it seems he transitioned into a marketing role based in Atlanta, Georgia – his hometown.

In BB27, we might find our initial partnership candidate quite close at hand, as Vince Panaro shares a common background in baseball, having played it professionally. Specifically, he was part of Colorado Christian’s college team in 2013, but his baseball journey didn’t progress beyond that level. If Cornell and Panaro are truthful about their past experiences, there’s a strong possibility they could quickly forge a connection within the Big Brother house.

Among the initial five individuals, Isaiah Frederich stands alone, and contrary to popular assumptions, he participated in collegiate sports – specifically, he was part of the cheerleading squad at Brigham Young University (BYU). As recently as this academic year, Isaiah can be found studying at BYU, suggesting that he may be among the more youthful contestants.

Lastly, we come across Katherine Woodman and Ashley Hollis, two individuals whose backgrounds are somewhat elusive. However, it’s been established that Woodman is a native of Virginia, whereas Hollis resides in New York and practices law.

For the time being, this is the entire lineup for Big Brother 27 that we’ve got. In the coming days, expect an official roster to be released, likely within the next couple of days, prior to the start of the season on July 10th, Thursday.
