Beyond Paradise star eyes up “brilliant” Strictly champ for role in beloved BBC drama
Actress Zahra Ahmadi from the show “Beyond Paradise” has shared her wish for a well-known “Strictly Come Dancing” celebrity to join the ensemble of the BBC’s crime drama spin-off.
Ahmadi, currently portraying Detective Sergeant Esther Williams on the spin-off series following her role in Death in Paradise’s main cast, was queried about her ideal guest star and immediately had a specific individual in mind.
She shared with the BBC that it would likely be Chris McCausland they’re referring to. She was impressed by him on “Strictly” and recently enjoyed his Christmas special alongside Lee Mack. In her opinion, he’s a fantastic comedian, individual, and actor. She believes he’d make an excellent addition to an episode.

Although McCausland could be an ideal choice for “Beyond Paradise”, it’s worth noting that the comedian, fresh from winning “Strictly”, has a particularly packed schedule this year.
He has a weekly podcast together with Dianne Buswell, a tour that continues until next year, and a memoir scheduled for publication in October.
As a devoted fan, I recently watched the thrilling season 3 premiere of “Beyond Paradise.” Though I must admit it didn’t quite live up to my expectations in this episode, it did lay some groundwork for more substantial tales that promise to deliver heartfelt climaxes down the line.
Among the seeds we’ve sown, there could potentially bloom a romantic relationship between Esther and Archie (played by Jamie Bamber). In fact, this is a hint Ahmadi shared with us during an exclusive chat.
Absolutely, I can’t help but agree with many others that he’s quite handsome. In fact, I even discussed his good looks during season 1, as the actor himself shared.
“I think she’s open [to more with Archie], but I think she’s also a good friend,” Ahmadi continued.
At some stage during their explorations with Archie, she begins to feel remorseful as she ponders whether she might be neglecting Martha, considering their relationship has grown stronger.
Beyond Paradise airs on BBC One and streams on BBC iPlayer.
