Beyoncé’s charitable organization, BeyGood, has given a generous contribution of $2.5 million towards assisting those affected by the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles. The fires are still burning fiercely across Southern California.

This week, the celebrity disclosed that she contributed $100,000 towards aiding those affected by the fires. Coincidentally, the popular figure herself suffered the loss of her Malibu seaside residence in the Palisades blaze this week.

The fires began on Tuesday amid strong winds – and include the Palisades and Eaton Fire. 

As reported by the Los Angeles Times on Sunday, the Palisades wildfire has scorched over 23,707 acres and is currently being contained to a level of 11%.

The Eaton Fire located near Altadena and Pasadena has burned 14,117 acres and is 27% contained. 

A grand total of more than 12,000 structures, including houses, schools, and places of worship, have been reduced to ashes by the devastating fires. Regrettably, the number of fatalities has climbed to 24, as reported on Sunday.

Strong winds are anticipated to resume starting from Sunday and continue until midweek, specifically on Wednesday. Some gusts might even exceed 70 mph.

According to CalFire, harmful wind speeds and critically low moisture levels are predicted across many parts of Southern California, ranging from Ventura to San Diego. This weather pattern poses a high risk of swift fire propagation due to the potential for heightened fire activity.

Several locals and notable figures, including Anthony Hopkins, Paris Hilton, Jeff Bridges, Billy Crystal, Joshua Jackson, Eugene Levy, and Miles Teller, have sadly had their homes destroyed.
