Beyoncé Snubbed Again: ACM Awards Leave Country Queen Out of Nominations
The 60th Academy of Country Music Awards shared its nominations on Thursday.
The top nominees were Ella Langley, Cody Johnson, Morgan Wallen, and Lainey Wilson.
But there were plenty of snubs that raised eyebrows like Beyonce’s Cowboy Carter.
The country singer received the Best Country Album accolade at the Grammys for Cowboy Carter and also won the prize for Best Country Duo/Group Performance in collaboration with Miley Cyrus, II Most Wanted. However, these achievements did not earn her a spot on the ACMs’ nomination list.
The wife of rapper Jay-Z was also shut out of the CMA Awards in November.
Other snubs include Miranda Lambert, Ashley McBryde, Luke Combs and Lady A.
Reba McEntire, who has won the ACM Award 16 times and is a well-known figure in entertainment, will be hosting the 2021 ACM Awards. These awards will be streamed live on Prime Video for viewers all around the world, covering over 240 countries and territories, on Thursday, May 8th at 8 p.m. EDT/7 p.m. CDT/5 p.m. PDT.
The event takes place at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas.
The program is going to honor sixty years of Country Music excellence, with appearances from some of the genre’s most esteemed and award-winning artists such as Blake Shelton, Eric Church, and Lainey Wilson.
Currently, a restricted quantity of tickets for the 60th ACM Awards is up for grabs on SeatGeek, giving music enthusiasts an opportunity to enjoy a star-studded evening filled with popular country artists showcasing their top chart-busters.

For the first time, Ella Langley has been nominated for eight ACM Awards, including Female Artist of the Year and New Female Artist of the Year. Additionally, her collaboration with Riley Green on the song ‘you look like you love me’ received six nominations – Single of the Year, Song of the Year as both an artist and a songwriter, Music Event of the Year, Visual Media of the Year as both an artist and director, and finally, Song of the Year as a songwriter.
As a devoted admirer, I’m thrilled to share that this year, I’ve landed myself shoulder to shoulder with the top nominees, boasting an impressive seven nods across various categories. Among these, I’ve scored my second nomination for Entertainer of the Year and am honored to be nominated for Song of the Year for the third consecutive time, with ‘Dirt Cheap’ being one of them. Additionally, it’s been nominated in the Single of the Year and Visual Media of the Year categories.
In a unique twist, I find myself competing against my own work in the Visual Media of the Year category, as my collaboration with Carrie Underwood, ‘I’m Gonna Love You,’ is also up for the award. This year, these seven nominations represent the most ACM Award nominations I’ve ever received in a single year, and they make me the most-nominated Texas-born artist of the year.
Morgan Wallen shares the record for the most male artist nominations, earning seven, among them a third consecutive nod for Entertainer of the Year. His collaboration with Post Malone on ‘I Had Some Help’ has netted him four nominations – three as an artist and one as a songwriter.
Lainey Wilson shares the record for the most nominations across various categories, receiving recognition in six distinct fields. Among these are her inaugural nomination for Artist-Songwriter of the Year. Notably, Lainey’s nominations for Song of the Year mark four consecutive years of being recognized and represent her seventh overall nomination (taking into account both artist and songwriter credits) within this category.
Luke Combs is up for the title “Entertainer of the Year” at an award ceremony. If he wins this category, it would earn him the prestigious “Triple Crown Award.” This award is given to artists who have previously won in their respective new artist categories (male, female, duo or group) and later win the Entertainer of the Year title. Previous recipients of the Triple Crown Award include Lainey Wilson, Chris Stapleton, Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney, among others. For six consecutive years now, Luke Combs has been nominated for both “Male Artist of the Year” and “Entertainer of the Year.
At this year’s awards ceremony, Chris Stapleton has been nominated six times, with his tenth straight nomination being for the coveted Male Artist of the Year category – a title he’s previously taken home four times, one of which was at the 59th ACM Awards.
As a loyal fan, I’m thrilled to share that Old Dominion has once again been nominated for the prestigious Group of the Year award. This marks an incredible ten-year run for them in this particular category! What makes it even more remarkable is that they’ve won
The country music duo, Brothers Osborne, have been honored with a nomination for Duo of the Year at this year’s Academy of Country Music Awards. This is their 18th overall nomination and their eleventh consecutive nomination in the Duo category. They have previously won this award four times.

Kelsea Ballerini has been nominated for Entertainer of the Year for the first time, along with nods for Female Artist of the Year and Music Event of the Year. She’s previously been nominated seven times in the category of Female Artist of the Year.
Little Big Town is just one nomination away from equaling Alabama’s record for the most Group of the Year nominations, as they currently stand at 19 nominations in total. They have been consistently nominated in this category every year since 2005, with the exception of 2011.
Rascal Flatts has been nominated once more as Group of the Year, a title they last held in 2017; their previous win was back in 2009, marking their seventh victory in this category.

Among the artist nominees making their debut are Gavin Adcock, Dasha, Noah Kahan, Ella Langley, Jessie Murph, Muscadine Bloodline, Shaboozey, Zach Top, The Red Clay Strays, Treaty Oak Revival, and Tucker Wetmore. These artists are first-timers in the nomination process.
