Betty White has been accused of ‘fat shaming’ actress Sally Struthers in a shock alleged incident.

77-year-old Michael Struthers, known for his role in All In The Family, asserted that White, who passed away at the age of 99 in 2021, made an unflattering comment during their collaboration on a pilot for a new game show. This incident occurred when they were presented with a snack while working together.

On Monday’s edition of the Let’s Talk About That podcast, Struthers mentioned that ‘In the center, there appeared to be a tray with what seemed to be cookies.’

In response, as I grabbed a cookie, she commented in front of everyone, “I’d advise against it if I were you; you don’t require a cookie.

Struthers said at the time she thought ‘that’s not nice.’

She mentioned that she now finds it easier to talk about the rumored event as Betty White has passed away. She expressed, “Everyone adores her. They loved her immensely. They even started petitions for her to be a guest host on Saturday Night Live. I’m aware of all that.

According to Struthers, Bea Arthur, a co-star of White’s from The Golden Girls, was significantly kinder to her during her guest appearances in the second season of All In The Family.

She noted that Bea Arthur entered the room with an overwhelming, powerful presence. Furthermore, she added that Arthur was known for using language that was as rough as a sailor who had been drinking heavily, and frequently inserted strong, surprising profanities into her dialogue to startle the male actors.

White died on December 31 2021, just just weeks before her 100th birthday,

In simpler terms, after a remarkable career spanning over 80 years and winning Emmys for her roles in TV comedies that made her beloved by Americans, it is thought she passed away from natural causes at her residence.

On the 28th of December, she posted a tweet saying: ‘I am turning 100 years old! Can you believe it? I’m thrilled to share that People Magazine is honoring me for this milestone. The latest issue of People Magazine featuring me will be on sale at stores across the country starting tomorrow.’

John Leavitt playfully remarked: ‘It’s quite humorous, isn’t it? Publishing a whole magazine for your 100th birthday and passing away before that date – that’s impeccable timing for a joke!’

President Joe Biden paid homage to the iconic figure, expressing through Twitter, “Betty White managed to put a smile on the faces of countless generations of Americans.

During the 1960s and early ’70s, White frequently graced our TV screens. He was a common sight, hosting the annual Tournament of Roses Parade broadcast and participating in popular game shows like Match Game and Password.

She married Password host Allen Ludden, her third and final husband, in 1963.

White achieved remarkable success on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, portraying the character of Sue Ann Nivens, the sly and sensual hostess of a home-making TV show. Her motto was ‘a woman who excels in the kitchen will undoubtedly be rewarded in other areas of her home.’

White won best-supporting actress Emmys for the role in 1975 and 1976.

In 1986, she clinched another Emmy award for her role in the TV series ‘The Golden Girls’, a sitcom focusing on four elderly ladies sharing a home in Miami. This unique portrayal of an underrepresented age group on American television was one of its distinctive features.

Apart from that Emmy nomination, White was additionally recognized six more times for her acting role as Rose Nylund, a kind, simple-minded yet witty Midwest character, on the popular TV show that aired from 1985 to 1992. This series was among the highest-rated programs during its run.

Following the relatively disappointing sequel to The Golden Girls, she landed several minor film roles, made appearances on talk shows, and took on one-time television characters – among them was a guest spot on The John Larroquette Show that earned her an Emmy award.

By the year 2009, she had become increasingly common, making more frequent appearances on TV and starring in the movie “The Proposal” alongside Sandra Bullock.

She featured prominently in a well-known Snickers ad shown during the Super Bowl, where she suffered a hard tackle in a mud puddle while playing football.

Without any offspring, she devoted her efforts towards advocating for animal welfare. On one occasion, she declined an offer to star in the film “As Good as It Gets,” as it contained a scene depicting a dog being discarded into a trash shoot.
