Over the course of its first seven episodes, numerous characters are suggested as possible culprits. However, the final episode unveiled the shocking truth behind the murder.

Viewers can now unravel the mystery of who murdered The Better Sister’s character in Episode 8, which brings a surprising twist to the climax of this acclaimed series. Who Is The Killer In The Better Sister?

Viewers are still in shock following the surprising ending of “The Better Sister,” especially after Episode 8 (titled “They’re In Their World”) revealed the identity of Adam’s killer, a question that had been central to the series. Corey Stoll, known for his role as Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, played Adam, a successful lawyer who was found dead at the beginning of the show, with Jessica Biel’s character Chloe discovering him bleeding on the floor.

In many parts of the series, it appears that Ethan, who is Adam’s son from his marriage with Nicky (Chloe’s sister), is believed to have killed Adam. This belief arises due to Ethan’s DNA being found frequently at the crime scene, strongly suggesting that he played a role in Adam’s murder, as far as the authorities are concerned.

Actually, contrary to what might have been assumed, it wasn’t as the finale suggested. Instead, it was Elizabeth Banks’ character, Nicky (formerly known as Adam’s wife), who orchestrated the grisly incident that initiated the series.

In Episode 8, it is revealed that the character of Bank had re-entered her long-lost son’s life in the months leading up to the start of the series. During this time, she endeavored to establish a bond with her son, someone she hadn’t anticipated having a relationship with before.

In their conversations, Nicky learns from Ethan that Adam has reportedly been physically abusive towards Chloe, who is now his wife and also Nicky’s sister.

For Nicky, this situation stirs a sense of deja vu, as she endured a similar tense relationship with Adam long ago. Feeling compelled to act, she decides to confront Stoll’s character, aiming to help him recognize and change his harmful behavior.

According to the plan, Nicky sets off to visit her sister with the intention of rescuing her from a distressing predicament by informing on Adam to the relevant authorities. But then, everything grinds to a sudden stop.

Instead of encountering Chloe inside their home, it is Adam who greets her at the front door. Surprised by her unexpected visit, Adam isn’t pleased with Chloe’s arrival, which quickly escalates into a heated verbal exchange and eventually turns into a physically aggressive interaction between them.

As a passionate cinephile, I find myself drawn to recount this intense scene: It all leads up to me, pinned against a wall by Adam. In an instant, I pull a concealed knife from my pocket and plunge it into him, again and again. All that remains is the crumpled remnant of Adam, bleeding profusely on the cold, hard floor.

Initially, Ethan discovers his father’s lifeless body, mistakenly believing that Chloe, his stepmother, might have been responsible for the gruesome killing. Fearing for his mother’s safety, Ethan frantically searches their home, attempting to conceal the murder by creating an appearance of a burglary gone wrong. Consequently, this explained why his DNA was scattered throughout the crime scene when the police arrived later on.

Moving on to a later point in time, Nicky shares everything with Chloe, explaining how she maintained a low profile and behaved as inconspicuously as possible when informed about Adam’s murder.
