Better Man soundtrack: Which Robbie Williams songs are in the movie?
As a long-time fan of Robbie Williams, I must say that watching “Better Man” was an emotional rollercoaster! The movie takes you through the highs and lows of his life, and the reimagined versions of his hits perfectly capture each stage.
Better Man has now landed in cinemas to tell the rise and fall and resurrection of Robbie Williams.
In this music biopic, you’ll be treated to numerous hits from Robbie Williams’ discography, and a couple of Take That favorites as an extra treat. Notably, Robbie himself has contributed a fresh tune for the end credits, which was almost nominated for an Oscar (details soon).
Just as the decision to depict him as a CGI chimp, Better Man deviates from traditional paths when selecting songs for the film. Instead of using the original versions, his hits have been reinterpreted to match various stages of his life. For example, ‘Feel’ is sung by a younger portrayal of Williams, watching his father leave him.
If you’re planning to catch the movie “Better Man” in the cinemas this Christmas, let us guide you through each tune you might enjoy!
Better Man soundtrack: All the Robbie Williams songs in the movie
In the song “Better Man”, there are several missing tracks that one might anticipate, like “No Regrets”, “Millennium”, and “Supreme”.
Additionally, we’d like to share some unfortunate news: The collaboration between Nicole Kidman and ‘Somethin’ Stupid’, as well as ‘Kids’ featuring Kylie Minogue, do not appear to be available at this time. However, there’s a possibility that they might be saved for a sequel if the original movie turns out to be successful.
Although some tracks in “Better Man” may be familiar, they have all been re-recorded specifically for the movie, providing unique versions different from the ones you typically hear.

Feel: Experience or sense emotionally
Previously stated, the final track on the “Better Man” soundtrack, as well as the film itself, is a new song by Robbie Williams titled “Forbidden Road.
As a gamer, I found that movie to be an intense, heart-opening journey. Rob’s boldness in exploring those grim territories was truly impressive, and I could sense it would tap into a deep sense of vulnerability within me. (Michael Gracey’s explanation in the production notes)
The sentiment I aimed to express in the original song was his genuine emotion – the way he reacted when he saw his life story play out on the screen, unfolding before him.

Williams stated: “During the past two years, I submitted several songs to Michael for possible use, but none of them aligned with his vision. It wasn’t until I watched the completed movie that I finally grasped the reason. Then, it all made perfect sense to me – that’s when and how ‘Forbidden Road’ was created.
Originally, ‘Forbidden Road’ was among the 15 potential nominees for the category of Best Original Song at the Oscars, which implies that Williams might have taken the stage to perform during the awards show.
Nevertheless, it was subsequently deemed ineligible as significant portions of it seemed to have been derived from a pre-existing tune not specifically composed for the movie, according to Variety.
Better Man is out now in UK cinemas.
