As a devoted fan, I can’t help but feel a pang of nostalgia as Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny might signal Harrison Ford’s final big-screen outing as our beloved archaeologist. However, the magic doesn’t have to end there! Thanks to Bethesda and developer MachineGames, we can embark on a fresh adventure with Indiana Jones in the form of a captivating action-adventure video game called Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. In this exhilarating new journey, players get to step into Indy’s shoes, living his thrilling escapades firsthand!

Last week at Gamescom, Microsoft officially disclosed that the game will hit the shelves on December 9th, having previously been slated for a Holiday 2024 release. The title will be playable on Xbox Series X|S and PC systems, with Game Pass subscribers also gaining access to it.

As a thrilled fan, I must admit that the most delightful piece of news was the fact that the upcoming game, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, won’t be exclusive to Xbox consoles anymore. In other words, time-limited exclusivity in video games isn’t a novel concept. It’s more common with third-party games, but Microsoft usually keeps its first-party Xbox titles exclusive to Xbox. However, they’ve hinted that this could change in the future.

The story “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle” occurs between the events of “Raiders of the Lost Ark” and “The Last Crusade.” In this tale, we follow the legendary archaeologist Indiana Jones (portrayed by Troy Baker), as he endeavors to prevent malevolent forces from obtaining the secret behind an ancient power that is linked to the Great Circle.

The Great Circle: Indiana Jones Action-Adventure Experience is presented from a first-person perspective, but its cinematic narrative style gives the impression that you’re immersed in a real movie.
