Bethenny Frankel’s Lonely Life as Introvert During COVID-19
Bethenny Frankel has shared insights into the deep sense of solitude she’s been experiencing as she spends more time alone following the COVID-19 pandemic.
On a recent TikTok conversation, the 54-year-old ex-reality TV personality discussed her experiences as a single mother to a teenager while chatting on Sunday.
It appears that the founder of Skinnygirl has been devoting considerable time to her expansive coastal estate over the past few years.
The star remarked, “The onset of the COVID-19 crisis allowed me to fully embrace my natural tendency towards solitude, a side of myself that many people find surprising.
A long-time star of The Real Housewives of New York City remarked that she could stay indoors for extended periods, not venturing outside her home.
In her secluded Connecticut dwelling, she felt a sense of loneliness and melancholy, as it seemed that she was living a life devoid of activity, having once resided in the vibrant Hamptons and maintaining an apartment in bustling New York City for many years.

Frankel added, ‘The only time I would have fun would be when I would go out of town.’
As I embark on my journey southward to sunny Miami, I am filled with excitement and anticipation. Not only does this move bring me closer to a network of cherished friends, but I also hope that this change will serve as a refreshing boost to my overall well-being and vitality.
The influencer expressed her fondness for Florida, stating that she enjoys stepping outside for a stroll along the beach, feeling immersed in the presence of other humans.
Approximately a week past, the ex-star of Real Housewives of New York City put up her $8 million mansion in Connecticut on the market for sale.
Last month she said a ‘series of events transpired’ that made her want to leave the New York area.
On March 19th, the idea hadn’t crossed our mind in the morning, but by the end of the day, a sequence of incidents unfolded, leading us to believe that this was the right choice for us to relocate here. (said the star)

She shared that she swiftly made up her mind to put their house on the market, but she intends to retain her New York City apartment. Subsequently, she started the process of purchasing a home in Florida (the Sunshine State).
In just about a month and a half, she shared that we managed to both sell and purchase homes in two different locations. She mentioned that they would hold onto the apartment, while she had sold her previous home and purchased a new house in Florida.
Frankel expressed that residing solely with her daughter Bryn, who is jointly shared with ex-spouse Jason Hoppy, in a house that was too expansive felt overwhelming to her.
She mentioned that it was only her and one other person,” or more casually, “She pointed out that it was just the two of us.”
‘I bought that large piece of real estate during a different period of my life.’
‘I thought it would be this, like, big family home and that I’d be entertaining there a lot.’
She went on saying: ‘The house overwhelmed me as it boasted an apple orchard, held historical significance, encompassed vast amounts of land, and was breathtakingly beautiful – perfect for a large family with children and grandparents.’
Over time, I found myself spending most hours there by myself since I wasn’t well-acquainted with many locals within the community. It felt quite isolating.
She said she didn’t want to be ‘home alone’ so she decided to ‘simplify’ their space.

She clarified that what seems straightforward to her might appear complex to others, as she’s managing to live in a lovely residence, but she has overextended herself.
‘And the idea of something was different than the reality of it,’ she continued.
Frankel mentioned that her initial intention was to reduce the size of her home in four years, once her daughter left for college. However, due to a significant event or turning point, she opted to make the move earlier than planned.
She mentioned that we were both struggling with the situation, but there was also something else that was capturing her attention, and neither of us felt comfortable verbalizing it. This was simply how things were for us at the moment, she implied in a somewhat mysterious way.
As soon as it turned into being about her, I found the courage to be truthful with myself regarding my feelings, which in turn liberated us both. I believe I’ll feel more uplifted, radiant, and joyful in the upcoming months.
Frankel added: ‘I’m excited for this next chapter.’
