Bethenny Frankel Issues Advice to Kim Kardashian Amid Kanye West Drama
Bethenny Frankel has issued advice to Kim Kardashian amid her latest drama with her ex Kanye West, who recently dragged their 11-year-old daughter North into the Diddy scandal.
Kim was reportedly left furious after the rapper released a song by Diddy which features North’s voice, with Kanye, 47, also sharing – then deleting – threatening texts with the reality star where he threatened to ‘go to war’ with her.
Diddy, 55, is currently in jail awaiting trial on charges including sex trafficking, and after the song was uploaded, a source has shared that Kim – who previously trademarked her children’s names – has sought legal action to prevent its release and have it taken down from X.
And in the wake of the tensions between the former spouses, the former Real Housewives of New York star, 54, has shared her own words of wisdom with Kim, 44, advising her not to focus on the trademarks, but the ‘decision-making’ instead.
Bethenny’s guidance comes just years after she was embattled in a contentious divorce with ex-husband Jason Hoppy. The two filed for divorce in 2013, but it wasn’t finalized until 2021.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday, Bethenny filmed herself chopping fruit as she gave counselling to the SKIMS founder ‘as someone who has been through a horrific decade-long divorce on a two-year marriage, and got primary-custody and no child support that I had to pay’.

Bethenny told how the media is focused on trademark of North West as she’s been featured in the new Diddy song ‘which is alarming at best’.
She warned Kim against messaging Kanye since he isn’t logical, expressing to the camera: “It would be better if she didn’t communicate with him directly. Instead, someone else should handle interactions with him because once again, he’s not rational, and he’s disclosing her messages, which is a breach of privacy.
After that, Bethenny pointed out that their attention should shift from the trademark to the ‘process of decision making’ instead.
She noted that Kim having decision-making is ‘so important in a divorce because people always focus on the custody time’, adding ‘what’s most critical is decision making because God forbidden something happens with the kids that is medical or is for education or something important.
‘You need a sane, rational, non-punitive party to be making those decisions and if Kim has decision-making, then it’s irrelevant whether or not she has the trademark for her daughter because in a best interest of a child matter, a judge doesn’t care about trademarks as much.’
Bethenny went on to say: “In matters of custody, judges are primarily concerned with the wellbeing of the child. Even if a couple’s agreement suggests something different, the judge will generally lean towards what they believe is in the child’s best interests.
After that, the star proceeded to discuss an incident where she had to leave her apartment earlier than planned, which is often referred to as ‘abandonment’, but she explained how this decision was praised because it turned out to be in the best interest of the child due to issues within the home environment.
Bethenny noted that she also bought her own home amid her divorce process and while financially unwise, she was once again ‘applauded’ because it gave her ‘a space safe to emotionally be with her child’.

In wrapping up her video, Bethenny emphasized that judges should be seen as people too, and their decisions regarding a child’s best interests aren’t limited to just the law alone. Instead, they take into account the child’s well-being as well.
She captioned her post: ‘Sadly I’m an expert on all matters divorce and custody’.
Bethenny’s words come as she revealed in April last year that she suffers from PTSD following her divorce from ex Jason Hoppy, 54, and labeled the experience as ‘traumatizing.’
The TV personality and Hoppy tied the knot in 2010, but split just two years later. After reaching a financial settlement in 2016, the divorce was finalized in 2021 – eight years after Bethenny initially filed.
She shared that she’s been deeply hurt, leading to significant trust concerns and dealing with post-traumatic stress. She emphasized that it was an extremely traumatic experience that she hopes never to encounter again in her lifetime. (Per Page Six)
On Saturday, Kim was left distraught by Kanye dragging their 11-year-old daughter North into the Diddy scandal by posting a new song.
West posted a new song on X called LONELY ROADS STILL GO TO SUNSHINE, apparently featuring Diddy, Diddy’s son Christian ‘King’ Combs and North.
The song opens with what sounds like Diddy’s voice thanking Kanye for his support, mentioning that no one else has reached out to him while he remains in jail awaiting trial on charges including sex trafficking.
Kanye responds by calling Diddy a father figure, even before they knew each other personally. North makes a brief but noticeable appearance, rapping, ‘When you see me shining, then you see the light,’ while Christian Combs delivers his own verse.
A source Informed DailyMail.com that Kardashian took legal action to prevent the track’s release and is now ‘working to get the song down off of X.’
Shortly before the track was released, West posted – then deleted – screen-grabs allegedly showing a vicious text exchange between him and Kardashian in which he threatened to go ‘to war’ with her.

The supposed conversation makes it appear that Kim holds the trademark of North’s name and was using it to try to prevent the 11-year-old from being included in a track with Diddy – provoking a furious reaction from West.
In the messages, West tells Kardashian: ‘I will no longer talk to you,’ accompanied by what seemed like a piece of a legal document, featuring the term: ‘involvement in this project,’ likely referring to the new song.
I was asked if I could trademark my name, and they responded affirmatively. They said something along the lines of “You said yes,” and added, “When she turns 18, it will be hers.” This is what Kardashian claims in response to allegations.
As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but share this fascinating insight. In those frames, it appears she’s urging West to halt, explaining, “I submitted documents to ensure she wouldn’t feature in your track, Diddy, to safeguard her.
Kardashian, who is an aspiring lawyer, allegedly continues: ‘One person has to trademark! We agreed when they were born i would get all of our kids names and trademarks So no would else would take them.’
West is seen to be unmoved, purportedly retorting: ‘Amend it or I’m going to war And neither of us will recover from the public fallout,’ then darkly declaring: ‘You’re going to have to kill me.’
In the wake of the song’s release, a source exclusively informed DailyMail.com that Kardashian ‘will do whatever it takes to protect her kids from the hateful speech that Kanye continues to spur at this time.’
The insider added that Kardashian ‘has requested through a judge to not allow the kids to be around that type of behavior.’
According to insiders, North recently spent time in the studio with Kanye—their first visit in weeks—where she recorded vocals for the track, via TMZ.
Kanye allegedly told her that participating in the song would lead to the release of his upcoming Sunday Service.

After learning about the track, sources claim Kardashian sent cease-and-desist letters demanding that Kanye not move forward with its release.
A supposed emergency meeting occurred, but Kanye was said to be absent, during which it is claimed that he consented to delay the release of his new track.
Kardashian is said to be particularly concerned about North’s involvement due to the ongoing legal troubles surrounding Diddy, who is currently facing federal sex trafficking allegations.
Insiders say she has been working behind the scenes to keep North out of the situation.
Shortly before releasing the track, Kanye posted an alleged text conversation with Kim, hinting at a brewing conflict by telling fans, ‘We’re going to war,’ per TMZ.
With the song now out, that battle seems to have officially begun.
As an ardent admirer of Kanye West, I’ve been eagerly awaiting updates about his iconic gospel choir, Sunday Service. Well, the wait is finally over! The release has just come in, and it seems that Kanye is bringing back his gospel choir with a fresh twist – one that has left me intrigued. Here’s what caught my attention: those who make the cut this time around will need to meet a unique requirement set by the man himself. I can hardly wait to see how it all unfolds!
On Thursday, the rapper took to Instagram to announce auditions for male singers in Los Angeles, inviting participants—including children as young as five—to try out for the choir he originally launched in 2019.
However, those selected won’t just be joining the group—they’ll also need to adopt a uniform look.
According to Kanye, while a shaved head isn’t necessary for the audition, it will be mandatory for anyone who officially joins the choir.
