Besame Mucho cancels upcoming festival at Dodger Stadium
As a seasoned cinephile who has attended countless music festivals over the years, I can’t help but feel a tinge of disappointment upon hearing about the cancellation of the 2024 Besame Mucho Festival. The lineup was nothing short of stellar, and Shakira’s headlining set was highly anticipated.
On a recent Instagram update, the organizers of the Besame Mucho Festival announced that they had to cancel the 2024 festival due to unforeseen circumstances. Initially set for December 21st at Dodger Stadium, the event will no longer occur as planned.
Every year, we eagerly anticipate our special occasion where extraordinary music and culture intertwine, bridging generations like no other event does. Unfortunately, after putting in countless hours throughout the year to prepare an incredible performance for you in December, we’re sad to announce…

The second L.A. edition of Besame Mucho was originally set to feature headliners Shakira, Enrique Iglesias, Los Tigres del Norte and Banda MS. Other notable performers included Pitbull, Ana Barbara, Gloria Trevi, Juanes, Carlos Vives and Elvis Crespo. Had the event taken place, it would’ve marked Shakira’s first headlining set at a music festival.
2023’s Besame Mucho Festival featured performances by Maná, Los Bukis, and Gloria Trevi. Highlights included Natalia Lafourcade’s moving interpretation of Juan Gabriel’s “Ya No Vivo por Vivir,” Los Lobos’ heartfelt homecoming performance, and a nostalgic setlist from Los Bukis. The tickets for this first-time event were snapped up in just 70 minutes.
On Monday afternoon, it was found that regular entry tickets for the canceled event were still being offered at a price of $435, while VIP packages began at $745. However, according to the festival’s announcement, ticket holders can expect a refund within approximately 30 days without any action required on their part.
Just last week, organizers disclosed the performer list for the Austin, Texas festival happening in April. Notably, popular Mexican music artists such as Peso Pluma, Ramon Ayala, and Carin Leon are slated to take the stage.
